Do you play poker on ultimate bet? I was looking at one of the completed tournaments and saw that someone called, "TheGasman" had placed third. Just wondered if it was you.

dude, peeps win thousands and thousands of dollars playing those online tournaments!! its unreal. a former co-worker used to play this everday, he'd win, a minimum of 500.00 every time he played, and most times it was atleast 1000.00... hell once he even one 5000.00 in a 6 hr tournmanet!! :eek:

I want to win some of this as well. I go gambling and just want to hand them my money knowing I am not going to win. :lol:

i saw a learn how to play poker cd tutorial last nite at walmart, from poker room.com .. we should start learning how to play it correctly and get our share of that CASH!!

Ohhh I know FIRST hand about a ganbling husband! :rant: Just ask him. And he will say..."Ohhh yeah Kara didn't like me too much then." It was the ONLY time in our relationship that I gave him an ultimatum. Either the gambling goes or I do. Well he picked me...YAY! But he was out $1500. And had to spot his cousin money because they were BOTH stupid.

Go to Vegas. Or, go to either Tunica, MS or Biloxi, MS. Tunica is better than Biloxi because it's about a half hour from Memphis, TN and you can go party there. Unfortunately, you have to go to Memphis to have fun if you don't gamble much. That's the best part about Vegas, you can gamble and party all in the same area. :D

Getting ready to dabble with Texas Hold Em myself. Been practicing with a computer program I bought and been reading up on the game as well. Any recommendations for an online game? Well, it really depends on if you are going to be playing no-limit tournaments, or if you'll be playing a limit game. If you aren't wanting to "break anybody", then you can play tournaments for fun, for $1, for a case of beer, whatever. The only problem with playing the tourneys is that when someone goes out, they have to sit and watch. If you want to just play a limit game for fun, then you can play 1 cent/2 cent, nickel/dime, .25/.50, whatever fits your budget. For playing online, you can check out ultimatebet.com, partypoker.com., pokerstars.com, pokerroom.com, and I'm sure there are a ton of others out there. They should all have play money games so you don't have to put any money into it. However, beware that these small home games and play money online games can get you into big trouble if you go play in a real game at a casino or online because, with the small limits and play money, you aren't trying to play your best game. Nothing wrong with having fun and cutting up with the guys, just don't think that you're a poker god because you always win against your friends or in the play money games. ;)
