What brake pads should I be using for track days? I've been using stock but I think there's better options out there. Just too many to choose from.

Gixxer1 06-23-2004, 06:21 PM Try some Ferodos. ShanMan14 06-28-2004, 07:33 AM I've heard good things about SBS and Ferodos. GsxrJack 07-10-2004, 07:24 AM ferodos have been great pads since i was racing (in the late 80's to mid 90's) glad to see their still around and are still working good...back in the day , racing with stock pads was just asking to warp your rotors...dont know if the stock pads of now are better but id get racing pads just to be on the safe side
jack TrackDaze 07-14-2004, 01:35 PM I am going to try the Ferodo race pads next track day and see how they work. larryg 07-14-2004, 09:18 PM Try different pads to see what you like but don't be so quick to give up on the stockers. I have seen (in AMA Supersport racing a few years back) where the stock pads were superior to the aftermarket option we tried. Either way, sintered metal pads are the way to go.
