What is your name? What is your favorite color? What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow? WTF is an airspeed velocity? Airspeed is a magnitude, velocity is a vector, and now you're combining them into a magnivector or something? :wtf: I'm an engineer... you can't use a silly term like that without me piping up about it.

originally from Mt Clemens, Michigan. i live now in pensacola, florida with my wife danielle. i ride a 2007 GSX-R 600. its red white and black. nothing done to it yet other than a tank pad lol. ive been riding for a while but had to give it up for a bit because of the military. picked up the newest bike in chicago and got a great deal on i think. i like to ride obviously, go to the beach, hit the little tiki bars and resteraunts with my wife. i am also an avid mini-trucker. big time scuba diver and adrenaline junky. lol my favorite drink is blue moon, with out the orange. as we all know, man rule #1 is "Thou shall not fruit beer". im reading your list and answering them the best i can lol. like a myspace quiz... lol gay! dont really have a favorite song. as long as i can ride to it and enjoy it, then its good. usually rock. i am in the military, NAVY all the way!! i just got done with Fire Control (weapons systems) school in chicago and oreders threw me down to pensacola. now im here working on the new f/a-18 hornets (jets) and P3 orions (prop plane used for sub-marine reconn.) as an Aviation Tech. now im spending the weekends with my wife and my free time looking for a good bike night here in the pan handle.

yeah im still looking at options for the bikes style. not sure what im going to do yet. i do know that its going to be lowered (because everything i own is lowered and this is no exception), tinted, shaved as much as possible without taking away the appearance too much... the list goes on but those are the basics for now.

I'll save you the hassle and all the people that are going to rag on you here: unless you plan on making it into a drag-only bike, which you obviously arent' because you wouldn't use that bike for that, don't lower it. do not. don't. do not lower it. The first mod you need to get is full gear head to toe, since judging by the fact that you want to lower the bike, I bet you don't have it yet. A full 2-piece leather suit, motorcycle boots (sidi's are nice, I have em), gauntlet style gloves, and helmet. Second mod, take the MSF course. No excuses. Take it. Third mod, study study study and practice practice practice. Apply what you learned in the MSF class to your riding and spend hours in parking lots and deserted back roads practicing those techniques. Read both of Keith Code's books (a twist of the wrist I and II), as well as Lee Parks' total control and Nick Ienatsch's sport riding techniques. Fourth mod, spend around $200 and take the bike to the track. Most fun and knowledge-gaining experience money can buy. After all of that, then decide if you want to ruin the bike by lowering it. Oh yeah, and more pics of your hot wife please.

The length of time you've been riding is irrelevant and in most cases has absolutely no correlation with riding ability. I've been riding for four months. I also don't recall saying you needed a bike that was going to win a GP race... in fact I didn't even suggest modding the bike at all. I didn't mean take it to the track to race it. I meant do a track day. Best money I ever spent. I saw a guy on the track on a ninja 250, so surely your bike will be fine. The lower stance will decrease the handling performance of the bike as well as allow less lean angle due to cornering clearance. Spend all your money on tires and track days, you'll be much happier than if you blow it all on blinged out stunta accessories.
