Shut down by Sony

Well today my internet stopped working. Called up ISP and they said that they received a call/notification from Sony saying I was DLing copyrighted stuff :yikes: (which i was) :doh:. They said its the first warning and they'll reconnect the account.:upset: They werent singling me out or anything, tech support lady says she had been dealing with similar situations all day. In fact, the tech support lady was pretty nice about it. But damn... I'm just glad I'm not getting sued... They even knew what I was downloading :yikes: (Spiderman 3) So yeah guess I'm turning off bittorrent for a LONG while So to all you people downloading movies and sh*t...THE MAN IS WATCHING YOU.... my ISP is insightBB, dunno if u guys have heard of em? i should prolly stick to IRC... but I think I'm gonna lay low on the illegal sh*t for a while anyways. over the last week i DLed around 15GB of stuff, mostly movies if anything I need to figure out some way of proxying so my IP can't be tracked... :idk: I don't know enough about how that works

IE, Firefox?

If you are really desperate search for movies on google video. there are sometimes decent quality ones.

Did you just have your ps3 hooked to your internet connection or where you actually downloading something through your ps3? I have my ps3 hooked to my router but I use my computer for the other not so legal stuff. Just curious if because the ps3 is still hooked up even with the power off that they could still see what i'm downloading. Not only that but if i'm not using Sony's product to download illegal stuff I don't think I really appreciate them snitching on me becasue there still keeping track of my connection.

this had nothing to do with my ps3... sony called my ISP because (I'm assuming) Sony owns the copyrights to the movie I downloaded.
