okay, so some are obvious. but some aren't, so i just thought i'd ask everyone how they came up with their screen name and what the significance is behind it. i'll start.... "itgirl" is a term that cosmopolitan magazine uses to describe the "hot girl of the moment". i thought it was catchy, so i adopted it as my persona. i was 25 at the time, so i added the 25 at the end of it. some people thought it had to do with computers (like IT girl or something), but it doesn't. i'm just vain, that's all.

Obviously, EIDROEDYR is RYDE OR DIE spelled backwards. I went with the backwards spelling because it is a common name on motorcycle boards and I didn't want RYDEORDIE465796. The meaning behind it, for me, is pretty simple. I've encountered some situations and circumstances in my 32 years that I thought I wouldn't overcome. I've learned you can either take obstacles head on (RYDE) or let them consume you (DIE, but not in the literal sence).

06-14-2006, 08:32 PM
To understand the significance and meaning of my screen name you need to "wikipedia" it: goatse (not goatsie as I spell it). I adapted it as an alias because it is original and unique and though I found it to be profoundly offensive, I chose it primarily for its hilarity. For distinctive purposes I have slightly altered the name for obvious reason to result in its finality as: goatsie.

frostz28
06-14-2006, 10:39 PM
Well "FrostZ28" originated in Highschool. Frost was a nickname given to me by the track team. After my coach repeatedly mispronounced my last name which is actually Foster, but he pronounced Froster. In his defense someone had written it on his sheet wrong but the name stuck. The Z28 part comes from the fact that I LOVE Camaros. And once I got my first "Z" I added the Z28 to my screen name, to make FROSTZ28. I guess now I should be like FROSTZ28-750 or something. As far as DL. goes. I thought his initials were DL and he was italian or something. LOL Good thing for this thread or I would never have known the truth.

Mine is kinda a combo of things.... My real name is Natasha. When I was about 14, I had a *ahem* male caller call me late one night. He was about 18, and had had a few drinks, and when my mom (yes Mom) answered, he said, "is NEEtasha home?" She laughed at him, and then never let me live it down. She's called me "Nee" ever since. Somewhere along the line, it morphed into Neebelung... my mom gives various explanations for this. A 'nebelung' (with one "e") is a breed of cat, essentially a long-haired Russian Blue (I'm part Romanian). Also, in the epic "Der Fledermaus," there are wood nymphs called Die Niebelungen... depending on when you ask my mom how she came up with the name, one of these reasons will come up. *shrug* So it's been a family name ever since....

These are some interesting stories behind some of you guys screen names. Well mine was actually given to me by people who look at my bike when I had my first custom paint job. http://www.twowheelforum.com/photopost/direct_data/500/bike_22.jpg There are not many CBR's around my way let alone 600's, so the name sort of stuck. A friend of ours on some local boards goes by "Sterling." It's his middle name, and we have so many Daves and Davids, he just prefers being called by Sterling. So last Friday night a group of us went out, and this one new girl kept referring to someone named "Silver." I swear, the first 43 times she said it, I had no idea who she was talking about... I didn't make the connection till she pointed at him.

We would ride the twisties until someone wrecked. least to say, a few hit on-comming vehicles (twas unnerving to ride throught the airborne debri and coolant). one lost a leg when sliding into a barb wire fence. another ended up underneath a van. in total, i witnessed at least 2 deaths and 2 paralysis. I expected my timely death by the age of 25. But the powers that be decided otherwise. So here I take the name back_marker to remind myself that I had survived my youth and to keep it slow. I was high on mushrooms 1 time and we were running in a graveyard from the po-po and i was looking back.. It was kinda like a cartoon. i hit the tombstone and my feet and hands wrapped around it.. Then i slid to the ground and the tombstone fell over on me.. I was unable to work for 3 days.. i slept for 24 hrs straight before i even was able to start moving.. Later 3 guys went out and tried to stand the stone back up.. They bairly were able to lift it. (I musta had some adreniline kick in) Needless to say i lost my shroom high. :baha: :rofl3: :rofl3: :lols: That **** is so funny...:dthumb:

One Sick Psycho... I mean, have you seen my posts? ...actually I have had enough people tell me I am 'a psycho' that it just stuck... less because of my anger/hostility issues and more because of my vulgar/crass sense of humor... I'm that guy who says something extremely inappropriate at the worst possible time, the record skips, and everyone stops in disbelief...

I've used NONE_too_SOFT for all of my forums since 5 years ago when i played tournament paintball. When i first started playin paintball about 8 years ago me and my buddies were in the woods and in a field playin, and my buddy kept picking up paintballs that were shot at him and putting them in his hopper. I told him "hey man the snow and the dirt is gonna make your paintballs soft and break in your barrel" He replied "hey man, there are none too soft" I laughed, and the name stuck. I used to be a member on a ton of other forums and i used the same name for all of them, basically because any other name i would try was allready taken. This one is ALLWAYS availiable, so here i am. (i'm starting to wonder if i allready posted in this thread a while back)

isnt it obvious? lol No, please elaborate. Since i'm always crackin jokes with friends they say I should write my own standup act.... You could do like I did and start a MySpace page. Not exactly the same format as stand up, but since I have no outlet for the material in my head (we don't have a local comedy club :nonod:), I do satirical writing instead. While I am L48Shark (already explained above) wherever I roam on the Internet, the exception is MySpace where my handle is 74oysters. As it is explained on my profile there (and it is indeed a true story)... Those who know me might assume the name of this blog is a reference to my 1974 birth in Oysterbay, NY. In fact, it goes back to a day when my wife worked at Hooters and she had put in an order for their last remaining dozen of oysters. To let the waitstaff know they were out, she posted a sign on the cash register reading, "86 OYSTERS". A few minutes later, one of the other girls rang up a dozen oysters. When she saw the note my wife had left, she pulled out her pen and wrote... Well, you already know the punchline.

TOMMYTOM comes from being arrested in Vegas for swimming in the Treasure Island display on the strip- on a bet that I wouldn't... after all was said and done- I won 120 bucks and a meeting with the base commander. As the cops were cuffing me- they asked my name- I was so drunk I slurred/stuttered tom-tom-tommy-tom... LOL My Air Force buddies got such a laugh- it became my nickname. Whenever we would go out drinking - as soon as I started showing signs that the alcohol was taking effect- they said my other personality would appear- "Tommytom" - known to try anything once and do anything regardless of the reprocusions- Just to create a memory and a good laugh.

Bump for the newbies...

What happens to the breakers in your home when your woman starts running way too many appliances at once in the bathroom? That's me! Or when some YPE (young punk engineer) does something he shouldn't. That's me again. It was a name given to me by 25 year+ veteran engineers who liked to tease me, shortened from trip hazard.

Join the army and go to SF school. You dont do anything more than I do. Except that i'm out on the streets in Iraq every day and your babysitting an airplane. Read this and you will have a glimpse of an idea what it takes to be Spec Ops. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army_Special_Forces I wouldnt want to break your back with a 14 hour day. Hell Airborne school is longer than two weeks. Sorry it just gets me a little pissed when someone claims to be something that their not. I would just post it but dont want to over step my bounds yanno. P.S. I agree on the military thing. I was in the NG's and went to Desert Storm, did my last 2yrs full time @ Fort Campbel and earned my air assault wings there. My units HQ was at Ft. Brag and if ya ever been in the service yanno how airborne n air assault go at one another. lol

Samuel Langhorne Clemens aka Mark Twain (November 30, 1835 — April 21, 1910) happens to be the author I most respect. I have assumed portions of both his Christan name and his nom de plume in a couple of different forums and, on occasions, in life. Ok, about two paragraphs of my own personal soap box deleted here. All that to say, when a screen name is asked for his names are the first to jump to mind. Plus he would have totaly rocked it on a Aprilia.
