Ever misplace something for years (decades) and finally find it?

When I got into Kawasaki triples about 1983, I rented half of the double farm house from my grandfather. I had a place to keep my bikes until he passed and the farm was sold in 1991. The '74 H1E 500caught on fire and was parked in 84. I purchased the '73 H1D 500 and rode that for a few years until I got a '82 GPZ 750. I moved three triples ( I also picked up a '74 H2B 750 from my brother ) to my friend's place, pulled the keys and there they sat until 2000. Then they moved to a different spot. I brought the bikes back here a few years ago and haven't found the keys which were put in a "good spot". :bas: I was sitting here at my computer and glanced over at the change jars. The newest coins are from the 80s in them. Something catches my eye .... I see a piece of black shiny plastic. :yikes: I dumped the change out and found the keys to my '74 500 H1E ( the elusive plastic headed key ), the plastic headed key to my '73 500 H1D and the copy of the key for the '74 H2B . Life is good  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/JRD77VET/Triples/parts/DCP_3416A.jpg ( after I put the change back in ) I did purchase keys off of ebay but was unable to get a plastic headed key for the '74. I also got these change jars back from my ex when she tried to take things that weren't hers during the divorce in the early 90s. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/JRD77VET/gif/321.gif :seeya Jeff

I found my Tattoo after loosing it for a few years. Which when I was 16 and in highschool I skipped to go watch the NHRA Top Fuel drag races. Which I saw "Nitro Fish" from Pirahnaz racing. I just liked how it looked. So I printed a picture of it and gave it to a friend to draw. I decided to make it the one thing I waited until I was 18 to do. But I lost the picture and found it one day cleaning out my desk when I was 20. The next day I got it drawn out and a few days later I got the tattoo.

what luck! Also the fact that you had some sweet bikes. HAVE, as in the present tense. Great story but where the hell are the pics of said bikes? :tt: Needless to say after too many years of sitting in a leaky friend's barn , they need work. Here's the '73 H1D 500 that should be running in a few weeks. I pulled the original motor ( left on milk crate ) and put in the '74 500 motor from the parts bike. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/JRD77VET/Triples/DCP_3417A.jpg Here's the burgundy '74 H1E 500 that caught on fire ( the fire damaged an oil line which I didn't see that caused lower end bearing failure ) and the '74 H2B 750 in the backround. To the right is another '74 750 frame and in the front left is a '74 500 that I purchased the guy never found the title for. :motz: I did get it cheap enough just to use for parts but I'd hate to "kill" one of these triples. :nonod: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/JRD77VET/Triples/DCP_3418A.jpg I have enough parts to get every frame I have going :cin: :seeya: Jeff

All that matters is if at the moment you thought she was a hottie. Being drunk its in inevitable that stupid sh*t is going to happen, but you have to draw the line somewhere!

In high school one of my best friends (Terry) had an older Brother (Luke) who was a legendary street fighter, motorcyclist, artist and hot rod builder. Luke gave me a pencil drawing that was a bizarre street scene full of outlandish people, buildings, signs and situations. I have not been able to find that drawing for the past 20 years or so. I don't know if Luke fights as much as he used to, but he stayed close to art, cars and motorcycles. He currently owns a design firm in the Dallas area, and does a lot of work on cars. His previous business, which he sold to a car racer that he sponsored, was Nitro Fish. He created the logo, then worked it into a whole range of products, many of which are still available, under new ownership, at nitrofish.com. I just found out recently what Luke had been doing all these years, and couldn't believe it when I saw your post about "Did you ever misplace..." I am going to start a serious search for that drawing. If I find it I will scan it and send the file to you. Take care.
