I have always wondered, fearfully, what i would do if I saw someone hurting someone else. 'Specially a child. I don't think I would make a very good policeman, knowing what they encounter every day. Most times you hear the opposite. How several witness' watched an assault and never interfere, sometimes not even calling police. I always felt a moral responsibility to act, even though it would likely get me hurt. My theory is Justice now, let the court sort it out later.:idk:

I think I know the one you are referring to. It was used as an example in my intro to criminal justice class.

My brother, my ex girlfriend and I beat the hell out of a guy that was smacking his girl up outside of a bar in Philly.... I got punched in the face by the whore that was getting beat down.. guess for hurting her lover :rolleyes: But that being said, I will still step in next time I am in the same situation. Good for the guys that stepped in here.

its good that they stepped in. while in prison, I'm hoping his cellmate(s) find out what he's in for, and give him daily beatings, and some lovin from a 300 pound fiance named Duke. in all reality, this is why, despite the fact that I'd like to be a cop sometimes, I couldnt do it. carrying a gun and dealing with some of this kind of scum, would be too much to resist popping a round or two in them out in the backwoods somewhere.

The prison system is different, they have a different set of morals, and social status standards. Inmates hate child molesters, and people who abuse children, Im not too sure how they view rape and murder I guess it depends on the victim.

Yea I never understood that either...more cops seem to be hurt/killed responding to domestic distubance calls than anything else...husband/boyfriend laying the smack down on the female that called 911...male resist...they take him down and then the female tries to hurt/kill the officer.:yikes: :nonod: One of my sisters has always liked the "bad boy"...or bad boy wannabe. Several years ago one of them hit her...she called me crying...etc....well when I got there of course he bowed up at me...I swept his feet out from under him and then left my boot print on his forehead...she got pizzed at me...got back together with the guy and didn't speak to me for awhile...I told her next time call 911 and not me.

She's continued to hang out with people like this and has been in and out of trouble herself and I washed my hands of it. Yea she's my sister but when she decided to get into the motorcycle gang thing...and I don't mean guys that just happen to ride a Harley and pretend to be a badazz...or have a few buddies that ride together and decided to be a gang...I'm talking big time nationally known gangs...and that changed things. I have my own life to live and if she isn't/can't learn to take a better path in life...so be it. It's easy to sit on the internet and say..."if it was my sister I'd do this or that"...but in reality...the guys she ran with...you would either be dead or in jail while she was out running around doing the same chit over and over and I got tired of it. Now if it was my other sister yes that would be a different story...she's normal and leads basically a normal life. My only brother is a retired police officer and I work in executive protection for a large corporation...so the one sister is a little "different" to say the least. Yes she's still my sister and I lover her....BUT....

And for that I am grateful. :cheers: Yea I posted this was a few years back...two of her "biker" boyfriends are in prison for whatever racketeering...etc..etc... and she SEEMS to have grown out of it (hopefully) and has gotten married to a guy that seems to be decent...at least from what she used to date. :lol: He has a honest decent paying job and doesn't hit on her so that's a start. Who knows what will happen when they eventually get out of prison but that will still be a long time from now since it is a federal prison and they have to serve more of their actual sentence.:dthumb:
