Hats off to Buell for finally putting a good powerplant in their bikes. If I could afford one, I'd go put money down on one right now.

Now they need to race it. Since the other bike.... can't even remember its name... (thats how bad it was) was such a disaster..

Doh, yeah that was it. I had a lot of hopes for that, but I suspect it all came down to budget and not realising the amount of cash it takes to develop. Perhaps an overhaul of the xbrr is in the works with a rotax engine though, that would be sweet.

It was probly the loudest bike I've ever heard in my life.

Nice... I hope they keep up with it, and come back next year ready to fight. I am still excited at the thought of an American contender out there!

head on view of the bike is growing on me, even with those huge ducts. can't wait to see one in person @ the local stealership.:tt: Dealer in Morgantown is getting them last week of November. Said a Buell engineer is going to come and talk about the bike, and lead demo rides. I don't care if it's 0 degrees, I'm there! Oh yeah, I had fun this weekend, checked out Morgantown Honda- no real leather jackets or pants, no back protectors, and no insulated gloves. Saw my first V-Max there. Wicked looking bike. No '08 bikes. Rode down the street to the Harley dealer. They had a ton of Buells. Lightning, CityX. Uly, and the 'Bolt for once. All 25th anny stuff. Nice colors, but the salesman said no component changes. Kept talking to him, sat on a few, and asked about the 1125R. Turns out this lucky SOB got to ride one for 2 weeks! Even had it out at Mid Ohio. Said the whole "quiet zone" thing is nice, engine vibrates, but not as much as the air-cooled, and the slipper clutch is awesome. "Dropped into 3rd at 160mph going into this turn and what happened? Nothing. Smooth as silk. Zero rear wheel hop." Now, I don't know how much of this is exaggeration... but I can't wait to ride this thing. Guy didn't even sneer when I said I ride a Kawi, or that the '06 636 was the best fit so far. He agreed that the CBR600RR is tight for tall knees, and said the 1125R was built "With riders over 5' in mind." (He's about 6'). Said it has fully adjustable controls and rearsets, and is real easy to dial in for rider weight. :tt: Two weeks

I think it needs a larger upper fairing... edit: At least they put the right tires on it.
