Anyone got a 04 Daytona 600??

Dont know too much about them, I'm going to go probably see one for sale this weekend. Post up what you think about them. I dont like yellow but this bike looks really nice and sounds like a great deal. How does this bike compare to the cbr, r6s, gsxr and company of similar year? :readng:

supposed to be slightly less powerful, heavier and far more comfortable. good luck! what? first off its a daytona 675... 75cc more compression. its slightly MORE powerful than the 600 class, yet not quite a 750. the bike rides a little higher than most rice rockets (so make sure you're comfy on it), and being a tripple has a great powerband, kind of the best of both worlds (being an I4 and Vtwin) The triumph was voted best in it class (600 class) by sport rider last year, and won international bike of the year award in 04. IMO a ****ing great machine, and rare for that matter. i'd jump on it.

110 is by NO MEANS slow in any way shape or form. ffs it has a bigger engine than most honda civics in the 90's

xactly my point, i put out 94hp before i put my new air filter, chg'd the oil, and re-jet'd. i'd guess you'd be around 100-105 at most.

The daytona's are fantastic! I had an 04 daytona 600 and got rid of it missed it so much i bought the 05 daytona 650 the second i came across it. They are a very comftorable ride. Hours in the seat and no wrist or back pain whatsoever while still being aggressive enough to keep up with everyone i ride with. If it does not already have an aftermarket exhaust it will be the best mod you can buy. The fuel injection is limited once it is brought to US specs and the 04 gear box was said to be a little clunky (not very noticable). The exhaust will open them up enough to get your adrenaline pumping in any situation. If you dont mind me asking how much are you looking to pick it up for?

I know nothing about the 600 I4, but triumphs triples are smooth as glass.

The bike is listed for $4300 - which, even though I dont know too much about the Triumph, seems like a fair price (it only has about 6k miles on it). It does have an aftermarket exhaust and dealer serviced according to the seller. I like taking my time and looking at 1000 things before I make a purchase but this (the first bike I see) is looking pretty good. I am concerned about the high seat mentioned because I am only 5'6 and the maintainance cost (british). How reliable are they?

How reliable are they? high seat is on the 675, and if i recall motorcyclist magazine had a 04' 600 as a long term bike and had no issues other than a factory recall for new pop rivets on that nose intake scoop. might still be info on their site

I hear you about Jersey City, that is my second home - where are you located now and how long has it been since you been there? You would be surpised how Manhattanish downtown is now. I tried to buy a house there last year - forget about it! I'm waiting for the guy to respond to me so I can go look at it this weekend (in the snow:idk: )

Lived in NYC (Washington Square area) from 1990-1992 then moved to JC and lived there from 1992-1994, moved to Denver which is where I live now. I was out there last summer and couldn't believe how much nicer NY/NJ both were. Cleaner and much safer.
