Atlantasmittie84 12-22-2007, 10:23 PM Man I hate Christmas. Mainly because I work on Pool Tables and Christmas is our busiest season. I work an average or 14+ hours day for 14 days straight that will last through New Years Day. Christmas Eve I'll likely be at work around 4am and lucky if I'm off by Midnight but most likely won't get home until 3am or so.
Since my family left town I can't be keeping my dog locked up in my house for 18hours without being able to poo, pee, or eat. So we put him in a Kennel for the week.
But damn it sucks. In the 2years I've had him I haven't been away from him this long. It's amazing how you can attach to a dog.
Sorry. Needed to vent some. Just had a 14hour day with our work truck breaking down and spending an hour in drizzling rain to try to rig it to get us through the day. And I have to work another long day tommorow(Sunday) before I work even longer on Christmas Eve.
But Blah I'm tired and going to try to sleep(Despite I have insomnia and can't)

ScottSellersUNR 12-23-2007, 05:07 PM why is this the time that everyone redoes and repairs their tables? Tax reasons or something for poolhalls?

x-mas gifts is my best guess. i know my university would have its tables redone every other x-mas break cause it was closed between semesters. plus companies around here run specials during the holiday season.
drewpy 12-23-2007, 05:27 PM go get the dog, she will thank you by laying around your feet and tripping you up and barking to be let out, all the things that make a dog better then a cat :dthumb: wouldnt have it any other way

I work for a store that sells pool tables so people buy them as Christmas gifts. Which I busted butt today and prepped all of our tables for tommorow to take out. However I know it will still go long becuase people will come in tommorow wanting to buy a pool table and want it that day. Which sucks becuase when you think you are about to get off you get a phone call and loose another 4hours+ of your life. Then all they say "We appreciate you coming out this late" without even tipping for being at their house at 10pm-midnight.
I also got my dog today. I was going to bust him out if I couldn't get him.
Life is better now.

Bastards. Thankless job. I know how that goes.... bust your ass, staying late to make sure people can get their services, (ie getting to NFL.com, ESPN.com or Foxnews.... )... it's just a bunch of bullchit.
Anyways, gratz on getting the dog back. Just in time for Xmas too. :)
vabarber2 12-24-2007, 01:48 PM We got a mascot dog here, but as soon as the man got word of it it had to go! The local nationals look at dogs as a horrible wild animal and kill them for fun! The dogs here out of habbit know to run when you wistle or yell for them! We see them dead all over the place all the time because locals shoot at them or run them over, they are looked at the same as cyotes or hienas! Its so sad!
Amblyopic 12-25-2007, 10:06 AM We've got mascot Kitties out here...
but yeah, same here. they try to get them all round up and put down/whatever.
drewpy 12-25-2007, 04:01 PM pardon my french, but **** those **** *******!!!!!!!!!!!!
ceo012384 12-25-2007, 09:32 PM I know how you feel man. My dog was MINE when I lived at home, but since about 6 years ago, I've lived in the city and he stayed out with my folks. I do get to see him somewhat frequently though, but I do miss him.
He's old, overweight, and really only good for keeping you company and petting him. I love him though, great little guy.
