I know what it is to not spend holidays with family. It does suck- but keep in mind what you are doing is crucial as to your families ability to even celebrate Christmas. It was protected by soldiers in wars before you and now you are doing your part to insure it for not only your own but generations to come. Alot of people under estimate the affect the middle east has on our freedom. What we are doing over there whether its about weapons of mass destruction or just to thin out the terrorists- its absolutely crucial to our well-being... Thank you for your service and sacrifice:2cents:

i'm security forces... so it'll most likely be 6 months... not as bad as the army... but i just got back in april... 4th deployment in less then 3 years... makes it a lil rough on the family life... and tommytom... trust me, i hold ALOT of pride for the job i do, and i apprecate ur thanks... i'm just blowing off a lil steam... guess i'm just sick of these short notice deployments... atleast its not as bad as it was the first time i went... found out on a thursday that i had to be there by that saturday
