where would you work. Los Angeles/San Francisco

So I may have a choice to make within the next year. Where would I want to go work. I can work in either Glendale in the LA area near pasadena/burbank/universal studio's. Nice area, not shady at all like some parts of burbank. Or work in downtown San Francisco. If i lived in San Francisco my parents house is about a little over an hours bus ride away in commute traffic. that would save me about a thousand bucks a month. IF i wanted to live at home for a little bit to save up money, but I won't have any debt then so I don't know if i would live at home anyways. I'd rather live near where I work. so having said that how bad is living in LA. I know the ladies are quite bitc*** there.

If your not going to live at home, go Glendale!!

I always liked N. California better than S. California. Your best bet would be to stay with the parents and save a chunk of cash.

I HATE LA.. so by Default San Fran... but... but I like San Fran... though I've only been there as a tourist... might have a different opinion if I was working there all the time.... I know traffic is gonna suck either place.

SF is like 55-60 year round, foggy on the coast side of the city all the time, with the exception of July-Mid November where its about 65-75. surfing requires a wet suit year round, or I can go surfing in So Cal most of the year without one. BUT there is something to be said about saving a ton of money living at home. its not like my parents house is a bad place to live, noice spot in the wine country.

AK is ****'n GORGEOUS... and I'd recommend anyone to come VISIT for a week or two... **** even a MONTH... there's a lot to experience and see... but after that... it wears off and the remoteness of it settles in...

The ultimate place would be Hawaii. You have awesome weather, big mountains, twisties, beaches and plain ole paradise. Then you can take a plane or boat to one of the other islands and explore more. I have been to Oahu and Kauai. Hell ya. I might just move there some day. It is one of my favorite places. I love it there.

Evidently they don't offer it on the Arsenal anymore... ---- it's someone on the Army side that I talked to originally. They used to organize a class at RSA and civil servants and military got it for free. Now you have to go through the HD dealer or Univ. of Montevallo, Alabama Motorcycle Safety Institute (or something). UM may have classes closer to you in B'ham..go to their website and they have prices, class schedules, etc. ---- looks like i'm stuck w/ the high $$$ at the harley dealership. Wish it was cheaper. Gonna take me and the girl at the same time (me for refresher and stuff probably in August) and her to get her feet wet on the things.

Both LA and San Fran have great roads and the weathers are rideable year round though San Fran may get a teensy more cold. IF you think that traffic in LA is bad, San Fran and the adjacent areas are even worst. Better eateries around the Bay Area. Better poon selection around LA area, and yes, some of the poons are beotches but a lot of them are also cool. It does help to have some cash to woo the honeys regardless. LA is better for SCUBA diving because the water is warmer and less sharks. Both have about the same access to snow/winter sports. LA has more accessible beaches. I like LA better but I can still dig San Fran.

I grew up in the bay area but have been working in southern cali for the past 3 years. Maybe I'm biased, but hands down, I'd pick the bay. Traffic can get crazy in both areas, but I think the drivers are way better (safer) up north than down towards the LA area. I swear poeple in LA don't know what turn signals are! There are great places to ride in both areas, although, maybe it's because I'm still relatively new to riding, but I'd think twice about riding around SF on my bike because if you don't know where you're going, you could end up at a stop on a steep ass (burn your clutch with if you have a manual transmission car type) hill. Over all though, I think the poeple in the bay are a lot more down to earth. As in all places, there are a fair share of people there that try too hard to be cool, but over all, there's more down to earth people in the bay than there are in socal.:2cents: If it weren't for my job, I'd be back up in norther cali, no doubt about it!
