Get back to my house, check my account on USAA to see if the army direct deposited my 4200$ they owe me, and see a charge for Dec. 31st that is pending for 70$ at a Rite Aid pharmacy that I never went too...so thats wierd...I call USAA and find out it was charged in a town next to me tonight.
I cancel the card, they will refund my money and send me a new card.

File a report with the Police department, then me and the police officer came to this conclusion...
We know the exact price, and we know the exact store, and we also know the range of time for it to have taken place... between 12:30 and 3:00
So we can look at film from the cameras at the store and find the sucker who stole it and used it because we know the price and will be able to find his ass

I once dropped my federal travel card in a hotel lobby. A taxi driver found it and told the receptionist that if I wanted it back, I would have to pay a finders fee and he left them his number. I called the cops and my finders fee was sending the cops to his front door.

mondos06cbr1000 12-29-2007, 12:21 PM Well the thing is that USAA has its main bank in Houston and its basically for people in the Military...the cater to us, so there is no bank around me its all done online...all my military pay is direct deposited in there.

yeah the only draw back of having USAA is that they don't have local branches unless your in TX. then I've only seen one... the main branch.
that's why I have my MAIN account with USAA.... but two secondary accounts for emergency's with US Bank and Wells Fargo. My parents have access to both just in case I need something paid (while deployed) or need some quick cash and can't get to my USAA account right away...
glad you got it caught though... don't waste your time on this fool... he's already gonna get the shaft from BUBBA ;)

Ineffable 12-30-2007, 07:25 PM Maybe you will have more luck than I did. I was robbed little over a year ago at gunpoint with a friend and they stole our wallets, cell phones, cash etc etc. Anyways they then use my card at a gas station pump in THERE OWN CAR, then use it again inside and at a taco bell drive through and some other places. I personally called all these places and they all had cameras set up. Hell the manager of the gas station even would tell me there license plate number and that he had film of there faces and everything. i call the detective and tell him all of this and that all he has to do is go and pick up these tapes and get a squad car to pick them up. But instead of catching these dickless pieces of **** the detective literally tells me 'its not worth his time'. These guys would be facing years in prison for armed robbery, battery, credit card fraud. etc etc. What pisses me off is that now its been so long that the tapes are probably gone etc etc. However, my mom is a federal judge so I had some of her cop buddies run the plates that the manager gave me and sure as **** it is the car that they were driving and it was never reported stolen. I can tell you there has been many a restless nights that I have almost gone over to the address its registered at and beat some ass. But that could only end badly. Sorry for my rant I just know how bad this pisses people off since I am one of them.
Edit: I know this is full of run on sentences and grammatical errors but I don't care lol

Most of your debit cards (90%) have a $1000 daily limit just so they can't steal large sums of money.

I am surprised to see the police do so much. Most of the time the banks for such a little amount, just credit you, get you a new card and go on. Alot of the time, the police do very little. I think you should thank those police for helping so much and for doing REAL police work!
Uma, a branch manager at a CU, had a great idea. The person that stole the card should have to enlist in the branch of your miltary. He stole from somebody defending his freedoms and should have go through what he did to earn that money!!! :dthumb: NOW THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!!!

they caught the kid, he admitted to using it and said he found it in the parking lot and bought like 68$ worth of stuff at the RiteAid. Now i didn't ask for his name but next time I talk to the Police I will. They found him on the video camera from the store and ID'd him....and one hour later had him in the police station.
Im technically no longer the victim...my bank is...so its up to them to press charges or not....I hope USAA does....Im gonna call them today to make sure.
If the cops wont tell me his name, I will just find it in the police logs in the newspaper....guys done
