What a long ass trip!!! Dec 22nd - Day 1 Packed up the eife and 2 kids, left my house around 8:30am. Made it to Port Huron around 11:30. No wait to cross into Canada(There was a big back up going the other way though). Things are looking good so far. Stop for lunch in Hamilton Ontario. Make it to Niagara Falls- Canada side by 2:30. Spent a few hours at the falls, ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. GOt back on the road at 5:50. Border crossing back into the US again was a breeze. Traffic going into Canada was backed up though. Headed East on I-90. Made it to Worcester Mass(pronounced Wooster, Who'd of thought? :idk: ). Stayed the night. The trip so far was pretty uneventful. Thank God for DVD players and power inverters so the kids could play Game Cube. Dec 23rd- Day 2 Left the hotel around 9am, made it to Portland Maine around 1Pm. :wtf: is the deal with all the tolls you have in the NE? Unloaded the car and just rested the rest of the day. Dec 24th Day 3 - I wont bore you with the details. Dec 25th Day 4 - I wont bore you with the details. We did take the kids to see National Treasure though. Dec 26th Day 5 - Took a drive up to Brunswick. Did a little shopping and stopped off at Sea Dog Brewing. Not good beer. Did they forget to add hops to any of their beer? No wonder Sam Adams is such a hit, all other NE beers suck. Geary's is especially bad. Dec 27th Day 6 - Packed up the car and headed for home. Drove the southern Maine coast home and saw a couple of cool light houses. Especially the one on Cape Nedick(sp?) in York Maine. Had lunch in York, then headed South West through ME, NH, MA, and CT. Hit a huge traffic back up in Waterbury CT on I-84. Finally made it to Scranton , PA at 10:30PM where we stayed for the night. Talk about a town stuck in t he 1950's. Dec 28th Day 7 - Left the hotel at 9AM, headed west on I-80. Ran across 2 different Truck accidents. Do truckers in PA not know how to drive?? MAde it to the OH bordr by 1PM. Glad to be out of PA. Talk about a boring drive..... . MAde it to Cleveland about 2PM. Spent the rest of the afternoon at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was very cool. I loved the 6th floor. It was dedicated to the Doors. That was definitely the best part of the HOF. Headed out of town. Stopped and had dinner and got to Sandusky, OH about 8PM. Checked into the Great Wolf Lodge and spent the rest of the evening at the indoor water park. Dec 29th Day 8. Got up ate breakfast and spent the rest of the morning at the water park. Packed up the car, hit Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and headed home around 1pm. Made it back into GR about 5:30pm. I never though I'd be so glad to be home. I don't know if it was being away from home, or not being with family but it just didn't feel like Christmas to me. Oh yeah and toll roads suck. $10.80 to go through NY on I-90? :wtf: What makes them feel so special?

I'm about an hour from I80....near Bellefonte/Snow Shoe. Yeah it looked like it was almost 100 miles to HBG from the I-81/I-80 interchange.

Yeah it looked like it was almost 100 miles to HBG from the I-81/I-80 interchange. Yes sir. You were close to Pocono Raceway at that point too. Just over an hour from the 81/80 interchange.

I didn't go through Boston, I went through Worcester. Worcester is only about 30 minutes west of boston, and you were heading northeast anyways basically. Worcester sucks, really. I don't understand how they decided to put a city there.. it's odd.

Why wouldn't you have gone through upstate NY and across? Not that I know how to drive to Michigan. :leaving:

Yeah driving in Michigan takes talent. I had a buddy from Cali that use to say Michigan drivers are one of their own.
