I used to live in that area. Palm Bay's had some very weird folks living there. When I wack and Ride I prefer to use Trojan Ribbed. Not as comfortable as extra thin but when it comes to "Protection" you can never have too much.

Regular or extra thin... all offer the same level of protection... one's just more likely to break than the other... And as long as there's no air in it... The odds of you breaking it is not very good.
