And I RODE! Where's my cookie? Didn't see one "hardcore" Harley rider out. They were all toastie in their minivans and SUV's. That is all. Might not seem like much, but we Texas boys aint used to no cold! I'm a REAL rider!!! That and my truck's transmission went out.

It was 18 degrees out with a windchill putting it below 0 and I rode as well. It was almost as cold yesterday and the only other rider I saw was a Harley guy. I need heated gloves. The heated grips aren't really cutting it at these temps.

No joke on the heated gloves. Yesterday it was 31 and I had to stop twice in 17 miles to warm my hands by the pipe. Today, I wore my extra thick gloves and still had to stop once. My body is fine, it's my flippin hands I can't keep warm!

New personal record! 12 degrees fahrenheit. I checked the bike's manual; that's too cold for the 10W40 I'm running. Oh well, I rode to work anyway. Although I learned the meaning of "no traction due to a cold road surface" when I nearly rear-ended a car which was skidding to a halt in front of me because the dips**t in front of her decided to brake hard at the last minute to make a turn. Losing traction at both ends is a bad thing. I don't know how I stayed upright.

I do believe that the wind chill would drop to about 0* and all those important extremities would just fall off...like fingers, toes...
