Pulled the trigger on a 1098

Finally! I've been wanting a Ducati for 15 yrs, and finally got one. Man, what a blast to ride. Bought the 'S' model and nuthin says handling like Ohlins on a Ducati.

Thanks, yeah its amazing. Took a little ride up the canyons and it put me to shame. It has more handling than I have huevos :lol: It has damn near the same torque and 100+ lbs lighter then my hayabusa. I compare the busa to a bull, and the Ducati is like a thoroughbred. Can't wait til its broken in and then I can really put it thru the wringer.

I would say it has no where near the same HP as the Busa BUT yes you have an awesome bike...congrats. I've ridden the 999 a few times but that's the extent of my Duc experience...very nice.

I didn't realize my R1 had more HP than a pre 08 Busa. I know the Busa has more torque. I've only ridden one Busa...for about a week recently... an 05 but it was turbocharged with 255-267 rwhp depending on boost and well over 100 rwtq...what a beast. Same guy owned the 999 that I rode. Compared to past Ducati's price/performance wise...the 1098 is a good buy...awesome bike.:dthumb:
