What do you guys think about mixing the two on one bike???? My graphics, pipe, grips and air ram tubes have the "carbon fiber look" But i was thinking about getting all the pegs, peg brackets and HOPEFULLY my wheels chromed. Or should I chose one or the other. Not sure how it would look together  !!!

Go for it, just easy on the chrome. If you were saving weight with real carbonfiber, then making things heavier with chrome wouldnt make sense. But its CF "look" so go for it. Im not a chrome person myself, but it wouldnt hurt my feelings, just chrome tastefully :D hey, i was born "close to Omaha, NE"

CF is ok but in moderation! Chrome is ok, if you're not a crazy smart arse white boy (Twisty). I personally don't like either, escpecially chrome. But that's just my opinion...

I think all the CF you can do, the better..it just looks sleek as hell, and of course saves on the weight. I think chrome looks alittle too much bling bling for my taste. but whatever floats your boat, go for it!

I personally agree with Matt. LOVE the carbon fiber. You should check this out...the entire race bike is built from carbon fiber. We even built a CF tach. :) http://www.speedwerks.com/CarbonCopy.html

That's always good, but most people are talking about dressing up the bike...

I rather have titanium. OZ as awsome set of rims but the like a bazillion dollars. Carbon is ok but not the fake stuff. We had a guy in club spend tons of money on the carbon sticks and it was just for looks. If your gonna get it, get the real stuff.

My .02 is if it's for looks and not performance, the more outragious the better. Dare to be original. So mix it up. Remember, there is no such thing as BAD publicity if ya know what I mean. Although this Kat might not look good. Atleast it's original.

I always see tons of other bikes all around the area here, but there's one guy that seems like mega-rider, I see him everywhere... but in reality I see him the same as the others, he just has a big funky sticker on his windscreen that sticks out, so it sticks out in your memory too...

Just because it's a race bike doesn't mean the CF doesn't look cool as ...well, you know. I just like the look whether it's on a race bike or a street bike. :)

It is your bike, do what you wanna do to it. I like both and they can co-exist on the same bike in moderation. Besides, at the speeds most of us ride at, no one is gonna see too much of it anyway...

Build what u had in mind if u had a Gillion dollars..lol Chrome all the metal and CF all the plastic and rims, and blinker and mirrors... ALL real./...lol and if u cant afford.. (which i odnt know if anyone here can without selling their house) then do what u can. Perosnally if i was richer then crap id do one all chrome and the same model all CF.... One for looks and one for performance.. but i do think real CF looks good. There was a busa for sale on EBAY with Chrome plated FAIRINGS... talk aobut being seen.. in the day hed blind u and make u hit him, lol But the bike overall did look pretty sick. Build what u want, its your personality your supposed to put into the bike.

i dont have the fake stuff. my pipe is a yosh. and the grips and other stuff have the "look" but not the cheap decal stuff. i just didnt want to over do it but i would like to add chrome wheels!! but then again my black wheels look pretty good too!! just like my stuff to stand out a lil bit(see cars in what car do you drive forum)

remember chrome weakins aluminum, I had chrome wheels on my r1 and broke 3 rear wheels within 1 month plus most of the places that chrome the wheels always seem to screw up the bearing hole then you go through bearings alot. my opinion spend the $$$$$$ on suspension or damper something that is useful :2cents:
