Have been very happy with my Widder system 2 setup  Purchased electric vest, gloves and electric chaps which go under leathers or pants. Everything plugs into vest with temp being controled by adjustable stat.

It's never been a consideration for me in AZ, but now that I'm the South it is. It actually SNOWS here. Thanks for the tip!

hhhmm...thats a pretty sweet idea, but never tried it for myself yet...maybe its about time. How expensive are they? how warm do they get?

You can get heated vest, cord and stat in the $130 range with internet dealers. Cheaper if you just want on/off switch instead of stat. You will be toasty in high position. I prefer using stat gives you control on heat setting. If you are looking to add other options, such as electric chaps, gloves, arm sleeves look into getting system vest, which allows hook up of all those options. Have used my Widder system 2 in 32 degree weather, worked very very well kept me toasty warm ;)
