sorry Low, you're out of luck on the 12R. they only make them for th 6R, 6RR, Z1000, Z750. they do have universal ones w/o the LED for much cheaper and they still flip though. http://www.vfxkits.com/c215100.2.html Gas Man 03-03-2005, 02:07 PM My question is, How does it pivit? Is there a cable attached... don't see any info on it... some way to do it while riding! Captain Morgan 03-03-2005, 02:55 PM My question is, How does it pivit? I watched the "demonstration" and they flip it with their hand. Not while riding though, just with the bike sitting still. Guys on the R6 forum have built their own and they say they just reach back and flip it up. I don't need that, I don't plan on running from cops. DLIT 03-03-2005, 04:43 PM i'm not buying it for the flip down feature. i took off my r6 decal and currently don't have anything on my bike that says it's an r6. that cutt out on it that says r6 is the main reason for buying it, plus the LED. i was gonna put a sticker somewhere but this is the perfect thing. kanwisch 03-04-2005, 06:41 AM Some of those LED schemes could really send people who are sensitive to light into conniptions! We have a Christmas wreath that works similarly which we refer to as the Disco wreath. This things the disco tail light. aggie03 06-05-2005, 09:38 PM That is tight. Isn't there a company that sells an electric one? I think you mount the toggle switch somewhere up front and with the flip of the switch it flips 90 degrees. jeeps84 06-06-2005, 01:54 AM I have seen many different styles and manufactures for these things. AirForceTeacher 06-06-2005, 04:39 AM Nice, I'd get on for my Fizzy but for the price, and Louisiana law mandates that only white and red lights may be displayed on the rear of a vehicle, so the blu plate light would be out. SpeedWerks.com 06-06-2005, 09:39 AM We had a guy in the shop we promptly names "00squid" when he had concocted something just like that, except he had a neat switch on his handlebar that he would hit and it would flip his license plate up. Very cool, but pretty sad, IMO, if you ride so poorly on the street that you have to run from the cops! To each his own, I guess? DLIT 06-06-2005, 10:40 AM Nice, I'd get on for my Fizzy but for the price, and Louisiana law mandates that only white and red lights may be displayed on the rear of a vehicle, so the blu plate light would be out.
They do have white lights. That's what I have now. Gas Man 06-06-2005, 12:46 PM Yeah some of them are really cool...if you're into that! Which I may or may not be... jeeps84 06-06-2005, 12:49 PM But they are made for show purposes, not running from the cops. Gas Man 06-06-2005, 01:11 PM Yeah that's it!! ah665 08-04-2005, 07:51 AM that is pretty sweet :dthumb: | |
