Hi everyone. I'm not new to motorcycles (rode a 750 Nighthawk last), but its been about 8 years. I'm looking for a bike for a quick blast around town in good weather and then back in the garage. Mostly I'm looking for a 0-60, 0-100 kind of bike (get the "need for speed" out). I'm not going to race at the speedway or use the foot pontoon method on takeoffs, but want a bike an intermediate skill rider could get the better times out of.... I'm thinking either a Honda 919 or Hayabusa (or ???). I know, big difference, but can the Busa put it down without being wheel up to a hundred...? TIA for any comments and your experience.

Welcome to the site! :twfrox: The Busa should certainly fill your need for speed.

Welcome! :twfrox: I will say get a 12R... something a little different than a Busa... too many of those school buses out there anyway... but it definately sounds like you are trying to but a high power sport turner type bike.... what about a VFR?

Welcome! :twfrox: a high power sport turner type bike.... There is no such thing as a "sport tuner" type of bike. I think that is the squidlyest thing I have ever heard.:damn:  Say it again and you will be added to the WOS squid of the month page. :nono:

Then what do you want to call bikes such as a VFR...ect.... And I'm not saying 12R because it's a Kaw...I'm saying because I'm not a fan of the Busa...

Turner... Touring.... what ever... I knew it didn't sound right but everybody would understand what I'm trying to say... kinda like some of your posts (needing a Twisty de-coder).... but I wouldn't own either... so what's the difference... Everybody see Twisty's clarification...

Thanks for the replies, this site is great! (I started on the Corvette Forum) Once I sell my Vette I'm getting my bike ( I figured out it will cost over a hundred grand to match the bike!) I'm going over to general forum to make a new post of what I saw today

"rode a 750 Nighthawk last" I would try out a vmax before i bought the busa since your use to sitting in a more upright position.......
