Jim's R1 03-29-2005, 04:10 PM I've been lurking around for a while and wanted to start getting involved in the chat. Looks like a great bunch of folk and well managed board. A little about me...I'm 33 and been in the Air Force for 15 years, stationed currently at Altus AFB, OK. I have a red 2005 R1, that's completely stock for now.
Looking forward to jumping in on some threads.

I like your bike.. :D
What job you got in the AF. I work Ammo. By the looks of the backround in that pick, I bet there's some real nice roads out there. Welcome.
Gas Man 03-29-2005, 10:17 PM Welcome Jim!!!
:twfrox: as you already are aware of!!!
Good bike... and thanks for your dedication to our country and it's military!!! :pat:
Good to have you around!
Jim's R1 03-30-2005, 09:12 AM Thanks for the welcome guys!
DLITALIEN - The cool thing about Altus is the weather and the roads. You have your choice of going dead straight for 10 miles or going to Quartz Mountain or the animal reserve, which both has all the twisty's you could ask for. As far as my AF job, I work in the Hospital.
R1sharknose - I assume you have the same bike...You must have good taste!

Captain Morgan 03-30-2005, 03:52 PM Nice bike, and welcome to the forum. I was in the Air Force for a little over 7 years and worked Radar Maintenance. I've got an '05 R6 so I'm happy to see yet another Yamaha owner join the board.

So you work with all the fine lookin trim? I'm jealous already. Everybody in all the services know that the AF has the best lookin broads. A lot of them are twisted, but hot none the less.

Exactly!! Who needs Air Force women with all the hotties coming and going at Vegas? You should be getting something new every week with all the tourists letting it all hang out.
