The only reason it makes it easier for you to type is because you can't type with just one hand. :) hehehe I'm to funny :) r00t 08-09-2004, 12:53 PM haha Need4Speed 08-09-2004, 01:43 PM The only reason it makes it easier for you to type is because you can't type with just one hand. :) hehehe I'm to funny :)

But he does the trick. jtemple 12-22-2006, 09:09 AM I can type as fast as most people can talk. It actually slows me down to type all that internet gibberish instead of real words. Gas Man 12-22-2006, 03:54 PM Its funny when I write big things on here... the wife is always correcting me to "school style" papers... but that's not the way the internet types or reads byron12 12-22-2006, 03:58 PM Its funny when I write big things on here... the wife is always correcting me to "school style" papers... but that's not the way the internet types or reads
Yeah I actually try to write my stuff in a correct format, but most people type a bunch of jibberish. Gas Man 12-22-2006, 04:57 PM Yeah well... jtemple 12-22-2006, 05:17 PM The thing is, when you learn how to type properly, it's second nature. I don't think of the spelling of words as I type. I think in terms of the whole word. If I think "type intelligence" the word just spits out on the screen. If I have to type out all that mumbo-jumbo, I have to actually stop and think of every word individually.
I type roughly 95 wpm at 98% accuracy, according to the latest typing test I took.
I'm a computer engineer. Currently, I'm a software systems developer. So, I type constantly, all day. Then, I get home and get on my personal computer(s) and type some more.
I'd say that the coding helps me type faster, but in reality, it doesn't. I spend my day typing languages other than English. :dthumb: smileyman 12-22-2006, 05:26 PM "Night of the Living Thread" Sequel to the famous "Curse of the Living Thread" See the 1000 year old Thread emerge, bent on destruction and revenge on all who have resurrected it. Can it be stopped?:idk: Captain Morgan 12-22-2006, 10:51 PM I'm like you guys with typing. My 12 year old niece is in town and she says she can't understand how I can type without looking at the keyboard.
Smiley, the old threads may eventually die, as long as marko stops posting his zombie in them or cursing about old threads. Everytime someone posts in them, they come back to the top, keeping them alive just a bit longer. byron12 12-22-2006, 10:51 PM bump Gas Man 12-23-2006, 06:54 AM You'd surprised how well some of the youngins can type doing all the IM crap all day long. 1BadCBR 12-23-2006, 07:47 AM My 16yr old is now living with me and I was really surprised at how well he types. Problem is, he's a freakin' :whore: on myspace and some other website that he's on :cursin: Good thing I have a desktop and a wireless laptop :dthumb: Gas Man 12-23-2006, 12:32 PM Put that boy to work. Mending fences or digging holes for no reason. You're a soldier, I'm sure you can think of pointless things for him to do. Make him re-paint all the house trim... its like having slave labor built right into the house. That's what I do to my brother that lives here... if I have a house project, like that fence thing, you better believe if he isn't working he's helpin me! | |
