Yeah, last week I got my old dog that lived with my parents... she is 8years old and we had her when I live there. But my parents are moving and can't transport a 65# dog back and forth to Florida and back... She's a AKC purebread golden retriever... here's some pics of her... with her hair long and shaved... Got a zoo here... the dog, 2 cats, and a loud bird. It's also a good portian of the food chain...

We've got a zoo too! 4 bengal cats and 2 dogs! I'd have many many more if I could!

Hey Gas Man...just curious. Why did you shave your Golden? I've had Goldens all my life and have never seen one shaved. Good looking hound, btw!

We foster Huskies here and thankfully just placed three in one week. Now where back down to having the three that live here. Its crazy at times. :screwy: :lol:

That was my parents thing... it keeps the dog cooler during the summer, keeps the shedding down, and keeps her from getting hot spots. I prefer the look of full hair but I must admit, the no shedding is kinda nice... they use to get her shaved twice a year... we'll see if I continue to do this...
