-Something just isn't right about this... Need4Speed 04-09-2005, 01:47 PM I just filled up one of our cars, with regular, 87 octane, and it costs me F'n 33.00 ... for a CAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cursin: :cursin:   r1sharknose 04-09-2005, 02:16 PM With china's economy allowing their people to grow financially we may only be seeing the beginning of high oil prices.Beside the fact that a big OIL man is running things in the u.s. :skep: zx636r 04-09-2005, 02:17 PM if anyone remembers the mustang i posted and wanted to get it back on the road, well fcuk that it use to only get like 12-15 mpg and i had to run 93 octane, i wouldent be able to afford to drive it anywhere.
and my jeep wrangler aint much better on gas.
i now use my bike even if i have to drive liek 2 blocks. lol
somoen needs to get beat down over these gas prices. thirdgenlxi 04-09-2005, 04:51 PM Yea gas prices are getting crazy!! :cursin: I don't drive my car nearly as much as I used to (even though it does get nearly 30 mpg in town) cuz of the rising prices. I just take the bike everywhere unless the weather is bad, I'm going somewhere I don't want to leave the bike unattended, or I need to haul something or go shopping. Last time I filled the car up it cost $32.00... for an Accord!! Luckily now I only have to fill it up every couple weeks instead of every couple days like I used to.
I can't complain too much though... right now we're at about $2.55 for 93 ocatane.... talking to my friend in Los Angeles last night and he said it was $2.89 for 91, and his turbo Supra requires just that :nonod: twisty 04-09-2005, 05:53 PM I was looking @ buying a new sportscar but with the prices of gas I think Im gonna get a Scion. Gas Man 04-09-2005, 11:18 PM Blah Blah Blah... :sob: it cost me $32 to fill up!!! :wtf: you ain't got crap!!
It cost me $62 to fill up the other day!!!
Gas shot up from $2.19 to $2.43 in about 2 hours!!! It's a F'in crock! Don't even get me started!! Cause I know better!!
Heck I had to fill up twice today on my bike costing me $16!!! $2.61 a gal for Premium! Thank god even with beating on it.. the 9R blesses me with about 38mpg!! thirdgenlxi 04-09-2005, 11:25 PM Blah Blah Blah... :sob: it cost me $32 to fill up!!! :wtf: you ain't got crap!!

Yea yea yea, I know, you got it much worse  I'm just sayin, for a rather small car that's a pretty good chunk. I remember when I could fill this very car up for $12.... that was about 6 years ago and gas was $0.97/gal... I do miss those days Gas Man 04-09-2005, 11:31 PM I hear ya... I remember when it got to $0.97 and FREAKIN out... heck then I had a POS 4 cylinder that got like 45mpg and I was complaigning...
I think I'm doing things backwards...
Gas prices go up and I get a more gas guzzling vechicle... :wtf: is wrong with this picture??? :nonod: jeeps84 04-10-2005, 12:30 AM I don't want to hear crap from any of you.

We have a 31' RV to go to racetracks (Once you do this for a few years, it really makes life easier - trust me).
We get *7* miles per gallon. It has a 75 gallon tank.
Do the math

Yea
The higher it gets the less $$$ I make! Gas Man 04-10-2005, 09:37 AM Yeah I know!!! Can you start charging more or somin? jeeps84 04-10-2005, 10:13 AM Yeah I know!!! Can you start charging more or somin?
I already do.
Its called a fuel surcharge.
When the national averages stay up for so long.
= I loss part of that charge.
= less money in my pocket for the same job.
= :cursin: :cursin: :cursin: :cursin: Gas Man 04-10-2005, 05:11 PM I figured...but can't you just adjust your fuel surcharge so you don't get ape raped!! Mudpuppy 04-10-2005, 09:30 PM I figured...but can't you just adjust your fuel surcharge so you don't get ape raped!!
You can but companies get pissed about that **** and start looking elsewhere for more "competitive" pricing, etc. driving the prices down and everyone crazy.. Cheap bastards.. jeeps84 04-10-2005, 11:14 PM The only way to get around it is to raise the overall rate and like MP said I could loss my contract on renewal for being to high. Gas Man 04-11-2005, 09:25 AM :wtf: let's just go smack them like the bietches they are!!! Come on MP we got's work to do!!! :D jeeps84 04-12-2005, 12:11 AM :wtf: let's just go smack them like the bietches they are!!! Come on MP we got's work to do!!! :D
I'll help! DLIT 04-12-2005, 12:42 AM I just tow my truck around town with my bike cuz it's cheaper that way. I'll do it if I have to move big objects like a keg or something. 2FURYUS 04-12-2005, 12:59 AM I just tow my truck around town with my bike cuz it's cheaper that way. Keg??? Just strap that on your back! :D DLIT 04-12-2005, 01:20 AM Better yet, I'll just fabricate a "keg helmet" so I can wear it on my head and have an endless flow of beer at my disposile. 2FURYUS 04-12-2005, 08:08 AM Better yet, I'll just fabricate a "keg helmet" so I can wear it on my head and have an endless flow of beer at my disposile.
lol, that'll work. Then you can just piss in the tank for more fuel. Gas Man 04-12-2005, 08:40 AM Better yet, I'll just fabricate a "keg helmet" so I can wear it on my head and have an endless flow of beer at my disposile.
Well endless only to some... others just call that a BIG refill!!! :D Gas Man 04-27-2005, 07:44 PM Crude Price down again (http://finance.myway.com/ht/nw/bus/20050427/hlm_bus-l27379981.html)
And WHY aren't the prices at the pump coming down with the price of crude decreasing so much...along with the supplies increasing so much! :wtf:  EIDROEDYR 04-27-2005, 09:12 PM I am getting to the point of where I hate driving my car. I drive my old school, heavy chevy, caprice classic, with a 305 and I stop the pump (89 octane) at $30.00. This weather is preventing me from utilizing my main mode of transportation during the non-winter months in addition to costing me more in fill-ups. This weather has to break soon otherwise I'll be borrowing my son's bmx. Gas Man 04-27-2005, 10:09 PM Yeah but you need to have a big car so that when it falls into the pot holes you can still find it.. | |
