drewpy 04-11-2005, 07:17 PM i kinda thought about that, if i did end up going to the carlise ride, i wouldnt kno what to call anyone, i think hey "bulldog" in the middle of a crowd would be a lil weird :screwy: i am sure to get some looks yelling spark plug too :skep:
Gas Man 04-11-2005, 08:57 PM I understand Bull... when us in WOS meet people for the first time on a ride... we have to double introduce ourselves.... like "Yeah what's up.. my name is Chris aka Gas Man"
Alot of times its a secrurity thing... and like N4S said it is hard to remember everybodies name!
Not a bad thread Bull... the idea is flawed but it will be interesting to see what people say...

2FURYUS 04-12-2005, 08:52 AM Bull you started this thread and I don't see your name posted? :skep:
My... whatever do you mean... I have always been called Low... or some other derivative...so it's natural for me to hear Low in a crowd...That's what I'm known as that's what I go by... It's might be a little different for PigFace... but you never know... :twfrox:
Gas Man 04-12-2005, 10:06 AM Bull you started this thread and I don't see your name posted? :skep:
Bull is Cody and it's in his sig, just as he stated about most peoples names...
Wouldn't be weird for me to hear "Chev" in a crowd or what it was shortened from...my original nickname "Chevitz". I still run into people from college that only knew me as Chevitz and couldn't tell you my first name if their life depended on it.......it's along the same lines as what Twisty was saying............the less people know about me...the better!!!!!!! Even in WOS land (when it's just the club), we all know each others real names too but everyone is called by their nickname.
jeeps84 04-12-2005, 11:19 AM If I was in a crowed and somebody yelled JEEPS!
I would look.
Everybody else would be looking for some 4X4's

This is true... I'll just say hey Chev... or Twisty this or Pippi that! It happens...
This is my real name bull. Formally im Pickle O' Doom, fine irish name.
Don't lie you ain't irish you look too much like a hippie!!! :D
twisty 04-12-2005, 01:03 PM I think it is a fine Irish name.
bumblebee 04-12-2005, 01:12 PM After all the typing back and forth...I will still call people by their forum names unless they tag themselves with another. I don't remember names very well and most people nickname themselves quickly. As far as crowds go, I think Chris would turn and look when he heard GasMan and 5 others would look if you said Hey Chris

Interesting... find, what's in a name...
http://www.kabalarians.com/cfm/your.cfm
Although the name Low creates the urge to be reliable and responsible, we emphasize that it causes a restless intensity that defies relaxation. This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the solar plexus, and through worry and mental tension.
The name of Low creates a quick, analytical, and clever mind; you are creative, versatile, original, and independent. You have large ambitions, and it is difficult for you to be tolerant and understanding of those who desire less in life or who are more slow and methodical by nature. Patience is not your forte. You do, however, have leadership ability and would never be happy in a subservient position. You are ambitious and aggressive by nature. You would be happiest in positions where you are free to express individually and creatively and where opportunities are not restricted; you desire freedom, and do not tolerate being possessed by others. You appreciate change and travel, and the opportunity to meet and mix with others, and to influence them with your creative ideas.
Gas Man 04-13-2005, 08:58 AM What the ****!!! That is some BS!!!!
Although the name Gas creates the urge to be creative and original, we point out that it causes an emotional intensity and a dominating nature that is hard to control. This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the nervous system, and tension or accidents to the head.
The first name of Gas creates an intense personal nature. Your feelings and emotional desires are strong and consequently you are an individual, determined, strong-willed person. Your creative nature and ambition drive you to pursue success to the extent that you jeopardize your personal well-being. There is a tendency for you to dominate others. You are too certain of yourself, and you are not open to the views of others or responsive to their desires or needs. Also, this name does not incorporate qualities that enable you to be diplomatic and to compromise.
If you say so... but you need to add the Man...
The name Man creates the urge to be creative and original, we emphasize that it causes a blunt expression that alienates others. This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses through tension or accidents to the head.
Your first name of Man creates individuality, independence, self-confidence, initiative, and an inclination to physical activity. You are not inclined to merge your opinions and viewpoints with others, to accept compromise, or to work in a subservient position against your will. Your expression is invariably quite direct and candid. Others find it difficult to accept your domineering and, at times, argumentative manner.
Gas Man 04-13-2005, 09:04 AM Well I did put Gas Man put it told me to F off! So I put in Gas as my first name...thinking it was going to ask me for my last name..then being Man... but it never did...
drewpy 04-13-2005, 10:55 AM how is there a first name gas, but no drewpy? :skep:
Gas Man 04-13-2005, 11:05 AM Oh SNAP! That is funny!!
bumblebee 04-13-2005, 12:14 PM I just thought they called you Gasman because you ate too many beans...sometimes, you seem to be full of beans...
twisty 04-13-2005, 02:28 PM He stinks, trust me.....
I put Chev in and it told me I was a big lazy piece of ****, I always looked for the easy way out, and I was always looking for an angle to make money.......NOT TO FAR OFF!!!! :cursin:
Gas Man 04-13-2005, 05:24 PM Chev you're one potant and funny guy!!
jeeps84 04-14-2005, 02:18 AM This thread sure is getting fun!
I tried my name and it was pretty close.
I tried my screen name at it describes my wife.
Go figure!
The name Jeeps creates the urge to be creative and original, we emphasize that it causes a blunt expression that alienates others. This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses through tension or accidents to the head.

You're right... my first name is pretty close...
Although the name Chris creates idealism and the urge to help others, we emphasize that it frustrates you through a scattered and emotional nature. This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the nervous system, liver, and bloodstream.
Your name of Chris gives you a very happy-go-lucky, spontaneous nature. You see the humorous side of many situations and can laugh at yourself as well as at others. This name gives you a musical, artistic nature and you would do well in any occupation in the entertainment field. You have many friends because of your generous, happy nature, but if crossed you have a quick temper, although your annoyance does not last too long. You do enjoy an argument and will at times say things just to get others going and then you sit back and enjoy the debate. You lack system and order and find it very difficult to budget and save money.
Not perfect but mostly true...
Gas Man 04-14-2005, 10:32 AM But it twists it when you add in the full first name... :wtf: How can I be 3 different people!!
The name Christopher creates the urge to be friendly and diplomatic, but we point out that it limits your versatility and vision, tuning you to technical details. This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the fluid and elimination system.
The name of Christopher incorporates a potential aptitude for concentration and patient, logical thought along mechanical or scientific lines. You tend to prefer to follow normal routine rather than cope with the disruption and uncertainty entailed in trying something new. You gravitate to situations where you have stability and the opportunity to make slow step-by-step progress, preferably in a technical field. Procrastination and lack of self-confidence may restrict your success.
jeeps84 04-14-2005, 11:39 AM ITS ALL BS
Just another way to collect you $$$$.

Guideon72 04-14-2005, 03:26 PM I've been using Guideon since I was a kid, playing around on the CB with my friends. It was a natural trasition when getting out in the online world to stick with that nickname since so many places want one (forums, online games, etc).
Since most of my close friends have come from one of those backgrounds, they all know that nick and most of them use it (or my last name) instead of my first name even in everyday, realword situations. I think the only people that refer to me by my first name anymore are my family, my G/F and one close friend that I met outside of work/school/radio.
Just one of those things, I guess.
