I have a 2000 R6 with 10k miles and minor damage.
He has a 1998 R1 with 28k miles and spotless (or so he says yet to see pics).

Yeah he wants to trade plus cash - like $600.. I don't know - too many miles for my taste and $600? :screwy: Yeah it could be in great shape and not beaten on but then again a sportbike with 28k? That is like a Mustang with 150k if you know what I mean.. I think I will just stick with the R6 and save up to buy the R1 I want with low miles, etc. Then I can have a bike for the track and the R1 for the street.. And the mfr didn't even send pictures.. WTF, over? Its a long drive to find out it is a piece.. Plus it is 2 years older than mine and I already think 2000 is too old for my tastes.. I don't know doesn't seem like a worthwhile trade to me.. More power is good but a ragged out 98 isn't and insurance will go up significantly I am sure.. No its cool Cap'n.. Thanks for throwing that out there.. Always looking for a deal and the power of the liter bike sounds tempting but I just don't see getting the good end of this deal so why bother - bottom line if I spent $600 plus transportation plus a weekend away where I wasn't planning for the wedding she would cut my fuggin balls off anyways and I'd sell that damn R1 for a Kawasaki because I'd be a gay eunich with a limp pole..
