This morning I got a serious offer from a guy looking for a 998 Matrix. I love this bike but not the color. I only bought it because of the deal. I can sale it and almost brake even. :skep: He is willing to give the price I paid for the bike new, if I throw in all the extra stuff Pipes, carbon fiber stuff, street/track extra body and tank. That would put me just under $2000 in the hole after riding it for over 3k. :skep: The big decision is I really want the 05 GSXR 1k. I cant afford both. :sob:

None of the above. Sell anything you got, go team blue and never look back.. This is what you need:

$2,000 in the hole after only 3,000 miles is too much, IMO. BUT, if you're not happy with the bike, than it's a moot point. I took a big hit trading my 99 auto vette for an 01 stick. However, I was much happier after I did it.

Its not that I'm unhappy with the bike. I just really want the new gsxxer in black. I sent him a counter offer of the same deal and I keep the street/track body. Good for a bout $700 to $1k+ on ebay if I don't buy a used Duc.

Don't EVER sell a Duc unless you have another in the garage. Please tell me you aren't thinking of selling your only Ducati...only to replace it with a Gixxer...c'mon, you're better than that...

Nope, I have a Monster too! If it leaves it will only be replaced with a new one.

good man, then do what you feel is right...I am in a similar quandry right now, have the option to either buy back my 95 900SS, or pick up an SV for the track...but I have 2 more Ducs on the garage as back ups... Decisions decisions is right...

Jeeps...it makes no matter to me... I was looking forward to taking off on your Duc when you weren't looking when at the GAP.... but I guess I can do the same on your new 05 GSXR 1K just as easily!! :dthumb: on both!!

I guess you know how to hot wire quickly! I might let you ride the Monster. She's like a good hoe! Most anybody can have a turn if I deem them worthy.

No hot wiring... just catch ya with the key in the ignition... I wouldn't want to disgrace the steed by hot wiring her!!

Its not often I leave the key in a bike, even at home locked in the basement.

Also, I would like to add.....that both bikes have a nice  factor so I say a big money truck driver like yourself should have both!!

:jacked: In the basement? :jacked: basement n 1. a story of a building that is wholly or partly below ground level 2. the foundation, substructure, or lowest part of a wall or building Add garage door and its a garage in the Basement/under the house. Pretty common in the mountains.

Pretty common in the mountains. Ok... I thought maybe you just had a walk out basement and refused to pull the bike into the lonely garage...

I got an E mail and he countered my counter offer with $1000 less and I keep all aftermarket parts. I recountered with -$400 and I keep the parts. Its not looking like a sale. :nonod:but he still wants to talk. Phone conversations to start tomorrow when he gets home. :skep:

Just don't back down cause you have the advantage... being that you REALLY don't need to sell it!

Nope, I have a Monster too! If it leaves it will only be replaced with a new one. I have a v-max that want be leaving just like your monster and i bet that like me it isn't as much a money thing as it is a wife that says:If you want a new bike sell one of those you have.... I built a garage out back for my bikes and she's alot more cooperative... :luck:

jeeps84
04-25-2005, 12:11 AM
Actually the garage will be to get the cages out of the weather. Yes, its a wife thing. nuff said!

NO SALE :disapp: He wouldn't go for my last offer & I stuck to it. I told him that I was in no hurry to sale and might still have it, if he changed his mind. New up date. The wife says she wants another SV650S.(the GSXR scars her) :skep: I found out to day that a friend is sailing her SV and Tracey wants it. The 03 GSXR 600 she rides now may soon become a 05 1k. One more toy for me to play with.

Gas Man
04-25-2005, 02:01 AM
Well just as I always say... if it's meant to be it will work out! See you weren't suppose to sell it.... you were suppose to sell the GSXR 6 and get the 1k...

jeeps84
04-25-2005, 09:19 AM
I was wondering about that. What the h3ll am I going to do with to Super Bikes? I think I can think of something to do with them. We will see how things work out.

Gas Man
04-25-2005, 02:20 PM
Well I'm sure the Duc would dominate at the GAP, due to the v-twin aspect... then if you want flat out killer speed...the '05 GSXR 1K!

jeeps84
04-25-2005, 11:51 PM
Going tomorrow to work a deal on the SV & then maybe to look for a new GSXR
