Will you be buying another sportbike this year?ShanMan14 04-25-2005, 07:28 AM Will you be buying another sportbike this year? LOL. It will be a couple of years before I buy my next bike. GSXR1000DJ 04-25-2005, 10:15 AM I would like to say yes...but the SO will kick my a$$ if I do. House first...then bike. LOL zx636r 04-25-2005, 11:18 AM lol i can barely afford the one i have. and i cant wait to pay it off, y so i can take out about 10k, lol not for bike. fatburg 04-25-2005, 11:20 AM I would like to get a true sport bike for my weekender and leave my FZ for my commuter but after my ride yesterday with my wife on the bike....um, not sure she is gonna trust me with much more power :leaving: fishman 04-25-2005, 11:30 AM done bought mine for the year. Tread a month late. Gas Man 04-25-2005, 01:30 PM I will say no! That is unless something bad happens... bulldog 04-25-2005, 04:53 PM hopefully towards the end of this year JK_DILLA 04-25-2005, 05:09 PM Its very possible. Gotta work a few things out, but were making plans on it. I really want a liter bike, but a 750 or a 636 will do. bulldog 04-25-2005, 05:13 PM yeah i just got a job and basically get to save up everything but gas so i will have at least a down payment in the end of the year.... i got to calculate some more when it gets close to when i feel i whant to get a new one but i think the option is there :dthumb: DLIT 04-25-2005, 06:20 PM I WISH I could get an R1 now but I still owe too much. And I don't mean that in a bad way - it is actually very funny because it is so true and I am sure that Chev will agree - for sure on this one Stupid and I, More Stupid, are trolliping hand in hand through the daisy patch of immense pain and future suffering.. But its always better the second time around right Chev? Either that or twice as painful when you get cut down.. One thing I learnt the first time is that they are not lying when they say it is "cheaper to keep her".. lol.. :luck: jeeps84 04-26-2005, 12:20 AM Maybe two!
All sorts of buying, sailing & trading going on right now. Gas Man 04-26-2005, 12:46 AM Ya for you...

Got mine last month. WildMonkey 05-08-2005, 07:36 PM I just sold my 'Kat last Thursday, and I have found an '05 'Busa for $9100. OTD, but I think I want to check out the Triumph Sprint first ? I will keep everybody posted !
:pat:
Steve. R1up0n1 05-08-2005, 09:53 PM I gotta pay mine off first, every time I see an R1 it kills me. I will just wait.... by the time I pay mine off this year, or early next year, I can save some $ to put down on the R1. I will be 25 for the insurance break when I'm ready to upgrade to the liter bike.
But then again, like Gasman said, I say no, but if something bad happens.. ya know... Gas Man 05-08-2005, 11:01 PM Yep just in case you have a bad ending to a day...you must think about where you'll go next!
For me...it would be a close call between the new GSXR 1k and the 10R.... Windigo 05-19-2005, 04:44 PM Give me the next 6 winning numbers of 6/49 lottery and Isurely will  r1sharknose 05-19-2005, 05:37 PM Its according to the new models coming out~they would have to be exceptional though or a two-stroke which will never happen. :nonod: jlozx750 05-19-2005, 07:52 PM Nope....something about a house, a wedding, a kid on the way.......all these damn grown up priorities getting in my way!!! LOL. It will be a couple of years before I buy my next bike.

after I posted here!
:bash:  i really hope it works out..... Jade 06-03-2005, 07:51 AM I just did last February! I can't be more proud. Gas Man 06-04-2005, 12:45 PM I must say AWESOME choice! No Worries 06-04-2005, 09:12 PM I take my sport/tourer on steep, tight mountain roads almost every day. Tossing the 600 pound bike around sure takes a toll on tires. With only 2,500 miles on my sportec's, the sides are wearing out, especially on the front. The tire looks triangular in profile and the handling is changing from neutral.
I would like to get a lighter sport bike just for use on the mountains. I saw a mid-90's YZF750 and it was beautiful. They must be rare because I haven't seen any for sale around here. Saw a few on ebay, but they were painted (crashed). I'll keep looking. jeeps84 06-05-2005, 12:05 AM Got my new 05 Gixxer 1000 last week! JK_DILLA 06-05-2005, 12:13 AM I saw a mid-90's YZF750
Speaking of 750cc yammies, if i found a R7 at any time, id be selling alot of things to get it. CTS-VETTE 550HP 07-28-2005, 04:00 PM HOWDY, to all TWF bike members

:welcome: Als-Repsol 07-29-2005, 11:31 AM Dreaming = lottery win = new house with garage full of bikes
reality = keeping my 3month old repsol RR and being happy with it Gas Man 07-29-2005, 01:27 PM Heck I'd be happy with that bike! :dthumb: neebelung 08-01-2005, 09:53 AM Hmmm... probably not. I'm just starting out, and intend to put a bit of money into my little ZX6R, so I'll probably hang onto her for at least a year or two.... at that point, I'd probably like to get either an SV650S, or a new(er) ZX6R... but we'll see. A lot could change between now and then.... :dthumb: jeeps84 08-01-2005, 03:43 PM Big diffrence in the SV650S and the ZX6R. NeonSpeedRT 08-02-2005, 10:54 AM Unless something major happens with my 900RR, I won't be getting a new bike anytime soon. I'd love to, but I have other priorities on the table right now.
Maybe if all goes well, I might be getting something new by the end of next year, but no sooner then that. neebelung 08-02-2005, 11:02 AM Big diffrence in the SV650S and the ZX6R.
Very true..... and once I've got more experience, I'll have a better sense of what bike I want.
Truthfully, if I get another bike within the next year, year and a half, I'd probably go with the SV, just cus I think the 636 will still be "too much" bike for me yet. But we'll see...... jeeps84 08-02-2005, 11:19 AM The SV is a great beginners bike. Pigface1 09-23-2005, 11:46 AM 06 busa maybe. :D | |
