I'm with State Farm, and they're not too cheap. Need4Speed 08-19-2004, 12:31 PM i've got progressive...since i bought the bike just recently, I didnt get full coverage on it yet, so right now its like 140.00 a year..which will get me thru the end of this riding season..then when it comes due again in april, i'll get the full coverage, which is like 450.00 a year for me. Big Kahuna 08-19-2004, 12:46 PM I have Framers at $456 a year, full coverage with a $200.00 deductable.
I have no tickets and one accident in which I was not found at fault. kayaker 08-19-2004, 12:48 PM I have state farm and think they are pretty reasonable. Of course, I also have both vehicles insured as well as renter's insurance through them, so I might get a bit of a deal.
Any way, my rate for full coverage is $365 a year, or a dollar a day with a $250 deductible. I could either feed a kid in africa or get my bike, I chose the bike. :D GSXR1000DJ 08-19-2004, 01:28 PM I have State Farm and my price is 72.30. I ahve both cars on it as well and renters too. I do get a break for all of it. And no thats not full coverage. Full is 235.00 for me and I'll get it next year. :) CBR Rider 08-19-2004, 09:23 PM I'm getting ripped off! I have no fire/theft/collision, but maxed out medical and I pay about $200 / yr through Liberty Mutual. I think it's time to do some insurance shopping... jetskifast 08-19-2004, 10:45 PM Progressive Insurance Pay $360 year for both BMW's. 500,000 Liability. 500 Ded for theft, no collision. Need4Speed 08-19-2004, 10:52 PM yeah it pays to shop around...for sure..im gonna try and add my bike to my car policy thru nationwide and see how much it would add onto it...might get a nice break..I would hope atleast. GSXR1000DJ 08-20-2004, 12:12 AM You should do that or at least call and see. Most places give a multi-car discount. Would save a few bucks. :) Gas Man 08-20-2004, 05:41 AM State Farm all the way here. About $400 a year for the full coverage with $100 deduct for Comp and $500 for collision. Never need anything more for the collision because you can always soak it into the claim someplace. Most dealers/repair shops will do that... Dactyl 08-21-2004, 12:38 PM State Farm all the way here. I am with you on that one.....when I had my 600rr the insurance was like $330.00 per year full coverage. Now I only have renters insurance through them and my car insurance is through Liberty Mutual. Been with them about ten years so they forgive my first two points (not that I have any..:)) Gas Man 08-21-2004, 03:35 PM State Farm is the best...they are the greatest when it comes to claims. They don't leave anything out, and are just simply awesome!! Need4Speed 08-21-2004, 04:03 PM State Farm all the way here. Maybe a little breathing room. Now if your doing 120, don't stop just keep on going. :D Pigface1 08-23-2004, 12:35 PM State Farm and I pay around $600 a year I think. Can't remember what my deductable is on my bike.
30 years old, single, one or two points on my record if that. fatburg 08-25-2004, 12:04 PM State Farm, $273 for Full coverage$100/$500 deductibles. Of course I also have my house, two cars and another motorcycle with them. Crazy thing is, my FZ6 is cheaper than my Vulcan800, they told me they don't care about what type of bike, just year and CC's.
Oh ya, the only thing is they won't carry just a bike, you have to have another vehicle also with them. blaire576 04-17-2006, 01:43 AM Who are you with? What's your premium and deductable?

Sometimes insurance companies (i.e. Geico, Progressive, Statefarm) that insure you over the phone will give you an INITIAL quote, which sounds pretty good. But then they'll look up your record and that quote will change. So be sure the prices you're getting are the exact price you're paying when you sign on that dotted line. try http://www.insurancepaylite.com might help your concern and get to see how insurance companies price. Marsolais 04-17-2006, 01:48 AM USAA full coverage to include water damage while stored, 100 deductible at a grand total of $240 a year!
Got to love the multi car discount, no tickets, no accident and advanced law enforcement driving school (which had nothing to do with a bike). Gas Man 04-17-2006, 09:53 AM :welcome: blaire.... I don't have to worry about that... SF already has my info from being a customer for years.... but that's a good point. Oh yeah, it w/State Farm. ebbs15 04-18-2006, 06:10 PM I"m at $32 a month full coverage on my 05 ZZr600 with a $500 deductable with State Farm:dthumb: drewpy 04-18-2006, 06:21 PM state farm comp and collison 69 a month apfire26 04-18-2006, 06:34 PM Man........all of these prices seem low to me. I always thought that bike insurance was very expensive, like 600 every 6 months. Thats what a friend told me. I'm 21 with one speeding ticket when I was 18, will I still be able to get full coverage on a bike for only three to five hundred a year? Wockman 04-18-2006, 07:17 PM I have Geico, two bikes (my 919 and my girlfriend's Ninja 250) I pay a little more than $800 a year for full coverage on both... marko138 04-19-2006, 05:03 AM These low rates, I believe, are dependent on clean driving records and a bit of age.
I pay a buck 27 on my GSXR 750 per year. Not full coverage though. jappysRR 04-19-2006, 05:31 AM Man........all of these prices seem low to me. They are low, but if you didn't look, it seems the majority of us have State Farm. One problem with younger riders is just that, young. Insurance Co.s look at the younger rider as being aggressive and irresponsible, so for now you may end up paying a lot more then us oldsters. Also, SF is notorious for dropping drivers after one accident, whether it be their fault or not. Do a lot of comparison shopping before you buy. I seem to get better quotes when I take my rear end into a local agent instead of just calling for a quote.
Your speeding ticket might come back to bite you in the ass, but don't quote me on this. Your age is more of a factor and also what type of bike you'll be purchasing. Younger + bigger cc's = (usually means) higher rates. Do not skimp on your purchase of insurance. Even tho it might cost you more, I'd recommend (to everyone) that you purchase full coverage (not just liability) with a million $ umbrella. <<~~This is in case some one hits you or vise versa and the scum tries to take you for all you're worth. These umbrellas will cover your butt. It did mine way back when in 95' when some jack off hit me from behind, threw me from my bike, but turned around and sued me for $500,000+ for emotional damage?!?!? :willy: He said it was "seeing me thrown off my bike that made him unable to drive again, since the scene was just awful". He said he "couldn't drive therefore he couldn't work" but it was he who hit me!! lol  The end result was the judge laughing him out of court, but if he wouldn't of, I would of been stuck paying this limp d1ck $500,000... marko138 04-19-2006, 05:56 AM I'm glad that case was thrown out Jappy...what a douche bag move. F that guy...if he's still around. Or maybe he's sitting on his azz b/c he can't drive. drewpy 04-24-2006, 03:39 PM new insurance rate: 297 a year collision and comp. million dollar umbrella and all the bells and whistles... thats with a 21 year old as primary driver... got to love cosigners... I have State Farm! They are great. For the 2005 R6, I have FULL COVERAGE @ $1500,000.00/$250,000.00 and a $250.00 deductible. I pay $10.41 a month!
I got a quote for the 1000RR (although I can't get it now  ), it is only $30.00 a month, for the same coverage as I have on the R6! marko138 04-25-2006, 06:43 AM I have State Farm!
