Not a bad buy actually if you consider the amount of money that you may need to sink into it to fix it. I'd suspect that if you paid like $3K for it, then you'd probably sink like another $1K in just the plastics and around like $2K for other parts to get it in like mint condition. But that's only if the forks aren't screwed up cause then I don't think it's worth it. And also, they say it drives, well I wanna test it if I win. If it don't run as well as they say it does, then I ain't payin !

Yep it went for $5500

I'd like to know how that bike was wrecked. Why is there no damage to the sides? Why would that wreck get a salvage title if the only damage is to the front plastics? I can't believe that bike sold for 5500. :crazy:

I wondered the same thing, Capt. I'm guessing that the rider "lawn darted" his bike under a flatbed or other large vehicle and wedged the bike upright so that it didn't fall on its side. That's pretty much the only way I can figure that it only had the damage that it did. It would also explain why the speedo was knocked/sheared off.

Back in the days we actually put my buddy for sale on eBay. It was to purchase his "life story". High Bidder was to pay all airfare etc. He would spend a week with them and tell them EVERYTHING about him. Bidding started at .99 and it was actually bid on, however then eBay removed it on the 2nd day. of the auction. I recently saw some news show with a woman who sold one of her old used breast implants on eBay for a few thousand dollars. FREAKS everywhere, and hell yeah I am gonna try and capitalize on them!

Yeah, well, $5500 isn't bad, but I wouldn't want to buy it with the salvage title! Once I fixed it, I would take it to another state that allows you to have it inspected and get back a standard title, then title it here in Michigan. But that's alot of pain! But like Capt said, how did they wreck it and why was a salvage title put on it? How come it wasn't just fixed? Something is fishy!
