Was led here by my husband who's part of the Corvette Forum. I liked that this forum has more activity than an email listserve I've been a member of for a couple of years now.

As for track days, I was never allowed to do one, so now that I'm free I'm planning on going broke just to cram as many in as I can. I don't care if I'm fast enough, I just wanna be able to say I finally did it!

Oh no, that's much to girlie for me! I have 4 pair of shoes, a pair of touring boots and a pair of motocross boots. That's it...honest. (And two pair of those shoes are tennis shoes!)
Hotshoe is what they called the flat track racers. The inside foot that they put down as they drift is the hotshoe. I got the nickname back when I first started riding in the dirt, and it was given to me quite facetiously.
Thanks for the nice welcome. We were watching Corbin's Ride On tonight and they had a feature on Femme Moto. Looked like a lot of fun. Here's the site:

The cost appears to be only $100 a day. Anyone in this group attending this?

:welcome: Dont be embarassed, ya gotta start somewhere!!! Glad to have ya!!
Thanks Rae; it was my intention to enjoy the scoot for a while and get accustomed to balancing, steering, etc - but I think I've mastered that part now! lol.
Also I wanted to see if I have time during the crazy summer months to allow myself chances to go for a spin, and to make sure that I really enjoy having a bike before I invested in something bigger and better.
Here's hoping I will get a good season out of the Jazz and then start shopping for a more interesting bike next year. Until then it's nice to read about everyone else's fast paced adventures!
funkidiva 05-08-2006, 09:44 AM Its always good to start off small so that you get your road sense. When you get something bigger its not so daunting then as at least you can read the roads ok and concentrate on the new bike.
