Gas Man 06-20-2005, 04:00 PM OK, I figure if there is a TWF member's ride thread, a member's pic thread...why not a TWF member's pet pic thread.... especially sense there has been a lot of pet talk around here lately...
So here's a few older pics that I have on my laptop of some of my zoo.
Avril is the gray cat and Lucky is the white one...

Don't have any new ones of the dog Sasha...those will have to wait till I get home...
So let's see them!
3BoyzNaBike 06-20-2005, 04:02 PM the bird is really cute. Beautiful colors. I don't have any pics of my "Gizman" but I will see if I can swipe from my mom tonight and scan them. He was a good little man and I miss him.
Captain Morgan 06-20-2005, 04:18 PM I love that bird. Beautiful.
Gas Man 06-20-2005, 05:24 PM The best part of the bird is her wings... she has a amazing blue color on her wings that you can see partly in those pics but can't truly see well unless she's stretching her wings or flying.
But for anybody that is thinking of getting a bird (any desent expensive bird). They are very loud and require tons of attention. Not too mention they make a mess 24/7.
Gas Man 06-20-2005, 05:28 PM Don't get me wrong....she's fun when she's not screaming... she's quite the character. All 8"-10" of her will stare down and attempt to threaten a 75# golden retriever and will try to bite a 12# cat. She's fearless! Probably cause she knows she'll do some damage if she gets that beak onto something.
ScottSellersUNR 06-20-2005, 08:29 PM Already posted em in the other thread, but this one will stay near the top and been seen... So heres my fav Max pics.
In a month or so after i get back from MotoGP i'll have new dog pics too.
'73 H1 Triple 06-20-2005, 09:29 PM Here's a pic of my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Mochi. In the pic he's 6 1/2 months old. He's 8 months now and weighed 101 lbs 2 weeks ago :help:

lucky 06-21-2005, 08:53 AM here is sierra i actually got her for my girlfriend but now that we live together the dog likes me better.
Willis 06-21-2005, 09:02 AM This is my Boston Terrier at 8 weeks. He's older now, but this is all that I have saved on my computer.
My boy! The 2 cats prefer not to be exploited here.
SpeedWerks.com 06-21-2005, 10:26 AM Here are our kitties and doggies. The cats are all bengals...a special breed that is awesome! The older dog is a rottie/shepard mix and the puppy is a doberman.
Gas Man 06-21-2005, 10:30 AM Bengels are cool. My wife would flip over those cats...
SpeedWerks.com 06-21-2005, 10:40 AM Bengels are cool. My wife would flip over those cats...
They are the coolest cats. They are dogs in cats bodies...and the best part is if you are allergic to cats (ME!), they don't produce dander, so you won't have allergic reactions to them.
snadamo 06-21-2005, 10:42 AM Gas' bird would look great on your shoulder Captian! (well, at least in the avatar)
between my girlfriend and I, we have 10 assorted freshwater fish, 2 russian tortises (milli, and max) and an 8 month old border collie (Lilly) Its technically her dog, but everyone knows she is my pup. No pics on the work computer, so I'll see If i can get some turtle and dog pics later today after work.
Gas Man 06-21-2005, 10:44 AM Ya you think... I have her on my shoulder all the time... maybe I should say "Ey maity!" more often!
Here's Dash. I got him from a shelter and he was probably like a month old or maybe younger. As soon as we got him my girl dropped me off and she took him to work so I could clean up the house. Well she called me and said she can't find him. So I rushed onto base and looked through her car not to find him either. At this point I was steamin cuz I looked everywhere. No meows...nothin. So I drove her car home so I could look even more. I even looked up under the dashboard. I got frustrated and went up to grab some water cuz it was 110 degrees out. I told my room mate that I was gonna look one more time. Well i looked up under the dash again and saw a little paw hangin down from behind the instrument cluster. Finally i found him! Two hours later and my girls dash is literaly in the back seat I get him out. The instruments, radio, heater-a/c panel glove box was also in the back seat. I can't believe he didn't meow once. I wanted to name him Monte cuz she drives a Monte Carlo but after talking to my Mom it was gonna be Dash. He's the best cat EVER!!
The picture is kind of blury cuz it was taken on a celly. Dahs is over a year old now but don't have any other pics on this comp.
Gas Man 06-21-2005, 04:12 PM Cute kitty and good story!!
'73 H1 Triple 06-21-2005, 07:15 PM Does that mean anybody can drive your boat? :D
Mochi took over my seat in the boat about 15 minutes into his first ride. :willy:
I guess it was too much excitement for him.

Beautiful bird. Does she talk?
Mine talks too much, sings songs, shakes feet, gives hugs, waves and likes to lay in my hand on his back.
Mudpuppy 06-21-2005, 11:56 PM Hey my cat's name is Sebastian.. what a coinkydink..
Gas Man 06-22-2005, 02:48 PM Tweety...yes she's a Sun. She doesn't do much. She can kinda say "hello" and "good girl" when she wants and is not too excited. otherwise, like a typical sun, she likes to scream. How old is your blue?
I have been told before that as they get older they will be more likely to talk and just in general calm down a bit.
Grafixx01 06-22-2005, 03:17 PM Here are our kitties and doggies. The cats are all bengals...a special breed that is awesome! The older dog is a rottie/shepard mix and the puppy is a doberman.

I don't have any aminals yet, my mothers' exhusband killed my puppy. I have three doggies in Colorado though my sister seems to think they are hers. (They don't like her very much, don't tell her that though!)

That would be my girlfriends room. Her actual room's ceiling caved in cause of all that rain in February (yea AZ actually got rain for like 2-3 weeks in a row). she used the spare room for the time being. All the electronics had to be removed from her room to that one. just really havent gotten around to putting back the TV...

My blue will be 2 in July. I bought him at 11 weeks and he was talking a few weeks later. He still likes to scream, but every time he does, I say a word he knows :yesnod:
I've always heard Suns are not good talkers, just good squawkers .
I really wanted a Sun, but when I reached in the pin to grab a sun, Amadeus just jumped on my hand (the suns ran), and went right up t my shoulder and started kissing me. So I guess you could say he picked me :angelhap:.
Suns are so much prettier, but he is a great bird.
But he has started to not want to come out of his cage  Not even treats work  If I reach in his cage he tries to bite me :yikes:

I like "Isses and Fire", Alaskan Malamutes or Huskies? I love those two types of dogs, very pretty and I love how they usually have blue eyes.

I was watchin' "Animal Planet" before and they had a dog on there that was cute. Then they said what kind of dog it was, a black lab and chiuahua (sp) mix. It was cute and that's a funny combo, wonder who was the daddy!

PhoenixGirlie 06-25-2005, 11:58 AM Birds are too loud
Gas Man 06-25-2005, 02:30 PM Loud they are but they can also be very sweet. For example.... when I have Bella on my shoulder she is just as happy as can be...and she likes to groom you. In her eyes, we (my wife and I) are her flock and birds always groom each other.

Gas Man 06-27-2005, 12:11 PM Actually, yes they will pick out bugs but that's not usually what they're doing. They are preening you. If you had feathers she is getting the sheen off your pin feathers and other things of that nature.

What program do you have to open them with? There are many ways.
Simplest way, open in MS Paint, go to "Image" --> "Stretch". If you change the top number (horizontal), make sure you do the same for the bottom (vertical) to keep them proportional.

My friend had two chihuahuas, don't like 'em. I like dogs that are big! If I can't stand up and put my hand down and pet 'em, they ain't a dog. :2cents:
Even told my friends in NY that if/when I get married and they see me with a small, 'ankle biter' dog, then to shoot me and they won't be held liable for it.

Graffix, worry about getting married before you get the small dog complex. Oh, and :luck: with that.
Pippi 07-12-2005, 02:08 PM Bailey my blind ten year old foster dog got adopted this past weekend (we had her for over a year) I just got this note from her new mom & it made me cry....
"Bailey is adjusting well, although I sometimes think she must miss you terribly. I can't believe what a sweet heart she is! She loves walking down our street which has many old oak trees for a field day of aromas! : ) She's already figured out an easy trail from the TV room to her food station. We've bathed her, walked her, massaged her and loved her up to no end. Bailey already has a Ferndale fan club who's many members come over to love on her or take her for walks. She basically wakes from her naps to be adorned, massaged, fed, walked and then falls asleep until it all happens again! LOLOLOL "
Getting notes like this makes it all worth it :)
Pippi 07-12-2005, 02:11 PM And a couple more fosters.....our American Pit Bull Terrier/Lab x and Furbee a little daschund/basset/beagle mix.
And a couple more fosters.....our American Pit Bull Terrier/Lab x and Furbee a little daschund/basset/beagle mix.
Pippi! Your killing me here!!! Bailey is gone! I loved that dog! Well the wife will be happy to know it went to a good family. Just hte few minutes we met Bailey we fell in love with her.
But this new foster "Furbee" has me thinking Brutus could have a new friend! LOL But we need a bigger yard before Brutus can have a friend!
Gas Man 07-12-2005, 02:43 PM Pippi great pics and a good story... you go girl!
Pippi 07-12-2005, 03:13 PM Thanks guys, yes, Bailey was a real charm :)
OMG Ace - Furbee & Brutus would be hilarious together. Furbee is a ham and very dependent on companionship of another dog (he needs to go to a home with another dog - he was seperated from his brother Linus a couple months ago and they had been together since birth). They should have a play date one day LOL. :dthumb:

snadamo 07-12-2005, 06:13 PM but girlfriend 2 is a Great Dane pup (young and skinny!) LOL
Great Dane's don't stay small and skinny for long. There is a neighbor of mine who has a Great Dane 2 years old. That dog is MASSIVE. I'm 6' 3 and I was totally belittled by this HUGE dog. He was a totally cool dog though, and I wasnt scared, just awestruck by the sheer size. They used to use those dogs to hunt lions in Africa way back in the day. Personally I like Great Dane's, but they are just too big for an appartment. :luck: with that thoguh! Now you dont have to worry about lion attacks  J/K!
Grafixx01 07-12-2005, 06:33 PM Graffix, worry about getting married before you get the small dog complex. Oh, and :luck: with that.
Hey now, is that personal? Cause if it was, that's cool. I'll get you back lil' Ace. I mean, 'ACE' in cards is like the best one to have, biggest, strongest...So you're SN is that cause? I mean word out on the street with the ladies is that, well... I'll just say that's why you must have the RC51, to have that much power and such a big thing between your legs, gotta compensate for something
Just kidding Aceman, you know I'm playin' around. Easy killa... Laugh a little...   :chill: :chill:  :chill:

You already use that lame "that's why you must have the RC51, to have that much power and such a big thing between your legs, gotta compensate for something" line. Its weak, is that all you have to go on? Must be jealous cause my bike is better? Is that it? LOL But dont hate just cause you have the 6, we still respect you. I got you, good lookin' out Ace. However, it's not the SIZE that matters, it's how you use that size! And I mean given the right rider on a 6, they could beat you on your litre bike.

Are you eatting your words now? But I thought I was only on the liter bike cause I lacked something. Anyways, believe me I know the right rider on a 6 could beat me on my RC. Dont think your that rider though. LOL Twisty on the new RR DEFINATELY could be that rider. But I never admit to be the fastest or best rider out there, have I? So this argument goes right back to Gas Man's special olympics post, and not worth my time. :bonk:

Yes, they do, like other things that smell if they are not cleaned on a daily basis ..uh uh...
You get them descented man, then they don't smell nearly as much. And you still have to clean them like any aminal. Ferrets love water so you can just throw them in a bathtub with like 4 or 5 inches of water and they'll go to town.

actually yes, but my little brother made several formal complaints in writing to the apartment complex, he always paid his rent on time, so the apartment complex let him vacate his apartment early and excused, now his room mate ended up going to court and from what I heard got screwed for backed up rent due, and damages.

Just got the call from the Vet that the only animal I have ever claimed in the house has passed. (some sort of cancer) She will be dearly missed.
She would great me at the door when I came home like any dog. She came when called. She would lay in my lap or by my side anytime I set still long enough for her to get comfortable.

He's a pure bred Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. ( cousins of Bernese Mountain dogs but shorter hair) He has two older brothers ( same parents ) that are in excess of 150 lbs :willy:
They are a working farm dog. That's just a different way of saying he's a strong as an ox and you better keep a good hold of the leash.
It's a breed that mellows with age.

The dog weighs more than my wife. The dog is about 140 lbs. We went to the vet and got what they call a " gentle lead". It goes around his nose and hooks behind his head. The leash attaches under his jaw.
Makes it much easier to walk as he doesn't like his head twisted back if he pulls too hard. He figured that part out real quick . :yesnod:

Nakita is still a playfull pup. Last night when I rode off to work at my usual 10:30pm I realized three blocks from home that she had run from my wife and followed me. She was gleefully running along beside the bike. I turned around and she sprinted with me at about 30mph back home all the while looking at me with a WOW this is sooooo much fun smile.

yes it is two different cats, not related in any way. both the COOLEST cats i've ever owned, they were very much like people.
this is my dog i have now, annabelle, she's a golden lab i adopted from the humane society, beautiful, loyal, and alot of fun. when i got her she was abused because she "wasn't potty trained" and was afraid of me because i was a guy, and cowerd when i reached out to pet her, that was 2 months ago. now she will bark like she's gonna eat me and chase me around the house, LOL. glad i was able to save her and give her a good home.

justpucky 08-07-2006, 12:54 PM She's adorable... looks pretty intelligent also.
drewpy 08-07-2006, 01:00 PM only dog i have ever had that listens, part husky part australien shepard, she loves the water and mud which can be cute until it comes time to jump back in the car or on the house:flush:

puppy mills suck!! they are just so cruel. it is heartbreaking. i wanted to bring each and every dog home.
Seems like we shop for our fuzzy friends at the same place.
It was a good thing my wife went by herself to get these guys because I would have more than likely got into a fight with someone and kicked the s#&t out of them.
The one thing I can't stand is when a$$ h@%* take advantage of innocence.
It took along time for josie to stop flinching when abrupt moves were made toward her.
All I can say is good for you and more people should follow suit and not worry so much about spending tons of money just to get a pure bred.
Josie and Blossom are the best. (But I'm a little bias).
You would not beleive the list of animals I have had in my life......and loved them all.
itgirl25 08-07-2006, 08:57 PM i would totally go back to puppy love again for another dog, solely because i'd know i was saving a dog's life. i paid $400 for my chihuahua and don't even know if he is pure or not. he has papers, but for CKC (continental kennel club). the AKC will not recognize puppy mill dogs.
my mom got a female chihuahua from there. she had a soft spot on the top of her head that still hasn't fully closed. she is about 7 years old now. her head is so small, like it didn't grow in proportion to her body. it's funny.
that lady should be shut down and all the dogs should be given a better home. there are so many of them though. so sad.

Unfortunately the AKC does recognize puppy mill dogs :( and purchasing from pet stores only furthers puppy millers pockets and keeps them in business.

He'll take your leg off if your not careful
justpucky 08-08-2006, 11:41 AM He'll take your leg off if your not careful
The dog I had while growing up, would only lick you to death... once you tripped over him becuase he was trying to climb up into your lap.
fatburg 08-08-2006, 11:42 AM sounds about right. I like the fact that mine still looks like he's a puppy:dthumb:

Brought him home yesterday. 4 months old. Lab/Golden Retriever mix. He's tearing my house apart. Taken 15 minutes ago.
marko138 08-16-2006, 10:33 AM He's pretty damn big for 4 months. He's gonna be a monster.
Hide your furniture. They're gonna be destroyed.

I'll tape it to the ceiling.
Ha. You might have to.
OneSickPsycho 08-16-2006, 11:25 AM The best part of the bird is her wings... she has a amazing blue color on her wings that you can see partly in those pics but can't truly see well unless she's stretching her wings or flying.
But for anybody that is thinking of getting a bird (any desent expensive bird). They are very loud and require tons of attention. Not too mention they make a mess 24/7.
No crap... One of my best buds in high school's mom had an African Grey... Pretty... Smart... and F*CKING INSANE!
So the phone rings... "hello, hello, helllllloooooooo?" Mid-hello, the phone is still ringing... or is it? Nope it's the damn bird! Put the cover over his cage, "Lights out Simon, Lights out Simon, Lights out Simon..."
All in all, it was pretty cool the first couple times I saw it, but after a while... I grew to despise Simon... Fluttering around the house, pooping on stuff... ringing like the phone, randomly saying crap... and I could never teach him any profanities... I hate birds...
