OK, I figure if there is a TWF member's ride thread, a member's pic thread...why not a TWF member's pet pic thread.... especially sense there has been a lot of pet talk around here lately... So here's a few older pics that I have on my laptop of some of my zoo. Avril is the gray cat and Lucky is the white one... http://www.twowheelforum.com/photopost/direct_data/538/medium/28XBox_002.jpg http://www.twowheelforum.com/photopost/direct_data/538/medium/28Sleeping_008.jpg Bella the bird... http://www.twowheelforum.com/photopost/direct_data/538/medium/28Bird_Outside_011.jpg http://www.twowheelforum.com/photopost/direct_data/538/medium/28Bird_Outside_014.jpg Don't have any new ones of the dog Sasha...those will have to wait till I get home... The best part of the bird is her wings... she has a amazing blue color on her wings that you can see partly in those pics but can't truly see well unless she's stretching her wings or flying. But for anybody that is thinking of getting a bird (any desent expensive bird). They are very loud and require tons of attention. Not too mention they make a mess 24/7.

Gas Man
06-20-2005, 04:28 PM
Don't get me wrong....she's fun when she's not screaming... she's quite the character. All 8"-10" of her will stare down and attempt to threaten a 75# golden retriever and will try to bite a 12# cat. She's fearless! Probably cause she knows she'll do some damage if she gets that beak onto something.

Bengels are cool. My wife would flip over those cats... They are the coolest cats. They are dogs in cats bodies...and the best part is if you are allergic to cats (ME!), they don't produce dander, so you won't have allergic reactions to them.

Here's Dash. I got him from a shelter and he was probably like a month old or maybe younger. As soon as we got him my girl dropped me off and she took him to work so I could clean up the house. Well she called me and said she can't find him. So I rushed onto base and looked through her car not to find him either. At this point I was steamin cuz I looked everywhere. No meows...nothin. So I drove her car home so I could look even more. I even looked up under the dashboard. I got frustrated and went up to grab some water cuz it was 110 degrees out. I told my room mate that I was gonna look one more time. Well i looked up under the dash again and saw a little paw hangin down from behind the instrument cluster. Finally i found him! Two hours later and my girls dash is literaly in the back seat I get him out. The instruments, radio, heater-a/c panel glove box was also in the back seat. I can't believe he didn't meow once. I wanted to name him Monte cuz she drives a Monte Carlo but after talking to my Mom it was gonna be Dash. He's the best cat EVER!! The picture is kind of blury cuz it was taken on a celly. Dahs is over a year old now but don't have any other pics on this comp.

Tweety...yes she's a Sun. She doesn't do much. She can kinda say "hello" and "good girl" when she wants and is not too excited. otherwise, like a typical sun, she likes to scream. How old is your blue? I have been told before that as they get older they will be more likely to talk and just in general calm down a bit.

Bailey my blind ten year old foster dog got adopted this past weekend (we had her for over a year) I just got this note from her new mom & it made me cry.... "Bailey is adjusting well, although I sometimes think she must miss you terribly. I can't believe what a sweet heart she is! She loves walking down our street which has many old oak trees for a field day of aromas! : ) She's already figured out an easy trail from the TV room to her food station. We've bathed her, walked her, massaged her and loved her up to no end. Bailey already has a Ferndale fan club who's many members come over to love on her or take her for walks. She basically wakes from her naps to be adorned, massaged, fed, walked and then falls asleep until it all happens again! LOLOLOL " Getting notes like this makes it all worth it :)

They should have a play date one day LOL. :dthumb: Definately! Brutus is always looking for new friends to go to the Park with. I guess he likes the Lake Orion one best. :dthumb:

but girlfriend 2 is a Great Dane pup (young and skinny!) LOL Great Dane's don't stay small and skinny for long. There is a neighbor of mine who has a Great Dane 2 years old. That dog is MASSIVE. I'm 6' 3 and I was totally belittled by this HUGE dog. He was a totally cool dog though, and I wasnt scared, just awestruck by the sheer size. They used to use those dogs to hunt lions in Africa way back in the day. Personally I like Great Dane's, but they are just too big for an appartment. :luck: with that thoguh! Now you dont have to worry about lion attacks  J/K!

We went to the vet and got what they call a " gentle lead". It goes around his nose and hooks behind his head. The leash attaches under his jaw. Makes it much easier to walk as he doesn't like his head twisted back if he pulls too hard. He figured that part out real quick . :yesnod:

I got him from my best friend's mom, well through my mom that is. she saw him and thought he was just TOOO cute then, now he's just a 90 pound pony. This is him at a year and a half old. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f90/automechanic/Jan12006-2.jpg Cool dog/wolf/person. German sheppards are great dogs.

Here's a pic of our dogs, both rescues. The white dog a Dalmation/Husky about 19months old and the darker one, my Agility partner, a 5yr old German Shepherd/Beagle. Hawkeye is truly a Shepherd, looking after many of the neighbours kids and always demonstrating great concern when anyone shows any sort of even playfull aggression towards them. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/clarkdw/Dog%20videos/hawkeyechillin.jpg Nakita is still a playfull pup. Last night when I rode off to work at my usual 10:30pm I realized three blocks from home that she had run from my wife and followed me. She was gleefully running along beside the bike. I turned around and she sprinted with me at about 30mph back home all the while looking at me with a WOW this is sooooo much fun smile. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/clarkdw/Dog%20videos/PICT0001.jpg

Whether you are a dog, cat, snake (sorry Gman and all those snake haters) or other pet lover, they become as much a part of the family as any human member. It always makes me wonder WTF? when I see so many wonderfull animals in the shelter and rescue organizations. Here is a video of my favorite walking spot with our two dogs.http://s115.photobucket.com/albums/n320/clarkdw/Dog%20videos/?action=view¤t=inthebush.flv

Seems like we shop for our fuzzy friends at the same place. It was a good thing my wife went by herself to get these guys because I would have more than likely got into a fight with someone and kicked the s#&t out of them. The one thing I can't stand is when a$$ h@%* take advantage of innocence. It took along time for josie to stop flinching when abrupt moves were made toward her. All I can say is good for you and more people should follow suit and not worry so much about spending tons of money just to get a pure bred. Josie and Blossom are the best. (But I'm a little bias). You would not beleive the list of animals I have had in my life......and loved them all.

i would totally go back to puppy love again for another dog, solely because i'd know i was saving a dog's life. i paid $400 for my chihuahua and don't even know if he is pure or not. he has papers, but for CKC (continental kennel club). the AKC will not recognize puppy mill dogs. my mom got a female chihuahua from there. she had a soft spot on the top of her head that still hasn't fully closed. she is about 7 years old now. her head is so small, like it didn't grow in proportion to her body. it's funny. that lady should be shut down and all the dogs should be given a better home. there are so many of them though. so sad.

No crap... One of my best buds in high school's mom had an African Grey... Pretty... Smart... and F*CKING INSANE! So the phone rings... "hello, hello, helllllloooooooo?" Mid-hello, the phone is still ringing... or is it? Nope it's the damn bird! Put the cover over his cage, "Lights out Simon, Lights out Simon, Lights out Simon..." All in all, it was pretty cool the first couple times I saw it, but after a while... I grew to despise Simon... Fluttering around the house, pooping on stuff... ringing like the phone, randomly saying crap... and I could never teach him any profanities... I hate birds...
