Detroit has had success playing while facing postseason elimination AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Larry Brown was sleepless in suburban Detroit. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8293417/ The Hall of Fame coach said he felt like he was “one step out of the grave,” the morning after the San Antonio Spurs overcame a four-point deficit in the final 1:25 to beat the Pistons 96-95 in overtime, taking a 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals. “I read a little bit, drove my wife crazy, let the dogs out and got in here kind of early,” Brown said Monday. “I’ll watch the film on the flight to San Antonio, and I already know what that’s going to be like. “I’m not a good flyer, so one Valium and the film, that’ll get me down to San Antonio.” The defending champion Pistons are in a familiar position — heading into Game 6 on Tuesday night — and hope to build upon their reputation as a resilient team. “We’ve had our backs against the wall before,” Tayshaun Prince said. “You don’t want to be in the situation where it happens too many times, but until this point, we have played great in that situation. Hopefully, we can continue to do that.”

I am hoping for a Detroit win tonight. However, should they loose I am glad they lost to San Antonio and not the Heat! Its goin gto be tough. Detroit has not beat San Antonio at home since 1997. And this year San Antonio only lost 3 of its home games. Kind of unbelievable!

They would have been up 3-2 if Rick Hamilton didn't try to draw a foul. What a stupid douche.

They would have been up 3-2 if Rick Hamilton didn't try to draw a foul. What a stupid douche. It was not Hamilton's fault. If Rasheed Wallace would have not doubled up and covered the guy odds are they would not have ogtten an easy 3 off to win the game. You never double up on hte inbound like that. The guy inbounding the ball will always get hte ball back for the 3 unless covered tight.

True True. I don't follow b-ball as much as other sports so I don't really have a favorite but I know that was one of the best finals games. Sheed made a mistake but it was a recoverable mistake. they had plenty of time to get a shot off but Hamilton fuccked 'em. He could have at least tried to draw the foul w/ both hands on the ball that way he would've gotten a better shot off. The Pistons still could have won if Hamilton didn't do that. I think game 6 will be close like game 5 though. Either way awesome game.

And if Billups didn't take stupid shots every time down they would have won by 15...................................BLAH BLAH BLAH. Point is, they didn't win because of a lot of things. They have to step it up tonight and that's all there is to it and the task at hand is going to be tough.

I thought it was a good game.A nailbiter, not a blowout like the others. Of course it should have gone the other way at the end but... a good game anyway. Billups did miss some, but damn he had 34 pts too. I would prefer it more like game 4 though, where what was it, 7 players in double digits?

I love it seeing Larry Brown go for back to back ships. His team over in Philly was plagued with AI. if it was not for AI Larry might have seen a championship over there. :2cents:

I agree with the "AI" factor. That guy is bad news. Larry's got it dialed in with this team. I hope he's back next season too.
