Hey do you guys ride with you brights on? @ night? Well for the last 2 mornings I have rode to work. Iam not a big commuter but it pisses my Boss off @ work so I try to do it when I can. But in the morning I have gotten sweved at like 3 times. I have a 2004 GSXR which has a very wide prjected light and I wouldnt be able to miss a sreaming bright ass bike coming up next to me but they did. So I vowled never to turn my brights off. And let me tell you alot of people were not happy about that, but the point is that they saw me and the told me that "I'm number 1 in their book"..... :thanx:

I bought some bright A$$ lights last night. There so bright if you look directly @ them, it will burn your retina's out.

Bet you'll get even more, "you're number 1" , signs now :D My Kat has some seriously wide & bright lamps on it too, so it usually works pretty well for me at night, even on low beam...but when I can I always use Highs, looks like a freight train or something coming right at you..

I generally run my brights all day and go back to lows at night. Some people run the brights at night and it even bothers me when I'm on my bike. Expecially when it's one of your buddy's that is following you. You can't see nuttin behind you when they're back there...

I sometimes ride with them on. Most of the time they are off, but here recently, I have had them on. :)

I ride with the brights on during the day and the low beams at night. I bought Xenon blue for the R6 and they are pretty bright at night on the low beams - so much so that most oncoming cars, bikes, etc. flash me to "turn off" the brights - so I flash them a bit of bright.

I do the same thing and have a similar set of lights in my 9R...

Hi Everybody ! :hi: I usually prefer the Brights for daytime riding, and the Low's for night time. I wouldn't mind getting some Xenon's for my Kat, but like Need4 said, my bike's lighting is pretty good as is... :bike: Steve.

Oh, my bike will light up about 5-6 lanes wide and real far. The best damn lighting I have ever seen on most anything...

Brights at day, lows at night. Xenons are a planned mod. The great thing about those is that you can (honestly) tell the wife they are for "safety". Safety - that beautiful word that has some primal effect on women making them ENCOURAGE men to spend money upgrading stuff or buying gear. :D

I was up ther a few times and its just as bad in a cage driving in that traffic. You have any pics of your 929? Any mods to it? :)

I used to be nice and considerate and keep my low beams on at night.. but after several jerkoffs pulling directly out in front of me, I have been keeping it on at most times. I turn it off if I'm at a light behind someone, or have when stuck behind/ following someone, but other than that I would rather piss someone off than get creamed.

My lamps are pretty freaking bright on my Kat, and even on low, they give off more than ample beams...but there is such a difference with the after-markets..the light is so much more crisp and clear, its just unreal. ...besides the blue-tint looks cool as all get out!!

See, Matt actually rides with his highs on all the time, and then he blinds people and I have to yell at him to turn them to lows....usually at least half a dozen times a ride :smash:

Since I ride in mostly unlit country, lows at night are more than sufficient in most cases. I use them, obviously, where there's no traffic. As for daytime, the only time I've used the highs is when I'm on a highway (not interstate) and the oncoming traffic is heading due east, and its early morning. I'm hoping the brights will be enough for them to see despite the sun in their eyes. Daytime I use other methods to make myself known. My rather bright gear, weaving in my lane, standing or rising somewhat on the pegs, etc. The things that get talked about in MSF classes, basically.

As I've said before, I use highs during the day and lows at night. Twisty along with Ace always use highs at night and when they're behind me it sucks. I hate it! I think it is more of a hazard at night then it is a help. But that's just my :2cents:

Twist: I ride with my brights on for the same reason, too many idiots in cages. So I try to make my bike more visible. Occationally a car will bright me, but at least they know I am there. Rather been seen and piss a few off than go unsee and get run over. :redmc:

LOL  That wise man wouldn't be someone we know starting with the letter T would it? lol.. That is a great philosphy. lol.. I know all about Ace riding with the brights on at night - I was getting on 275 and he was behind me - I looked to see if there was any cars coming and all I saw was what appeared to be an airplane landing on the freeway.. lol.. Then it was that nice dot that happens after you stare at a bright light for a second..

Now that I have the HID low beams, it's pretty much low beams all the way. Sunday night down CA395, we were in a pack with 3 HID equipped bikes in the front. Cars were flashing brights at us. Every once in a while someone would treat them to a flash of the high beams...
