Ok, PA. peeps, lets get a ride going..

So many of us are going to the carlisle show..on different days and such..but what's everybody's normal schedule as far as free time to ride. There's enough of us here that we can get a good group going and hit the twisties. im normally available saturday and sunday mornings..but if given enough notice, I can probably do afternoons as well.

i work sat. and sun. til 4pm, so my free time usually is in the evening. i know, that doesn't help much, does it?

I'm off work at 3:30 M-F so I'm on the bike everyday out for a ride, and I'm off every weekend.

i can do weekends in the morning, but lately i havent even seen my bike, i have been drinking alot and i dont ever get the bike out casue i knwo im gonna be drinking and those 2 things just dont mix. but if anyone ever wants to go just send a message n ask for the cell.

i have every thursday and friday off...me and my buddy usally ride monday nites around 930...and the first sunday of every month theres a big ride at the silver spring diner...not all sport bikes but its a lot of fun and decent breakfast food...i think people start showing up around six and thenride for 2-3 hours after a good grubbin...but yeah ill go ride anytime...as long as the wifey says i can.

The ephreta run that everybody does the first sunday of the each month. Ive been on that a couple times, that's always a blast! OK, so we got it down that most everyone is free on a saturday late afternoon or evening. Perhaps, as long as, it girl, doesnt mind; we could all go for a ride, and then meet up at the mechanicsburg Hooters for some wings and chill out. Or, wherever.. Denny's is always fun late at night too :lol:

I'll be out of town once again this weekend riding with the KY group. I rode with Aggrtron tonight at 10:00 till about 11:30. He's way on the slow side for me, I had to pass and stay in the front. I have never seen someone ride ON the yellow line and cross into the other lane so much on a semi-str8 road! But he is just learning with his antique Yamaha that tops out at 75 or so. Hopefully he upgrades soon.. He's a cool guy tho.

I love the late nite rides.. it seems I get to ride more at night than I do during the day.

I avoid the "circuit" at night for the most part i used to live on philadelphia and am only 2 blocks back from it now. Unless i am headed to a bar or passing through, i just cant get into it. Now if the street rods are in town or bike night thats different i can get into that. I know how you guys feel about hd and bike night is the friday of the york plants open house so thats pretty much all it is.

IF we do hooters can we do it on like a tuesday night or something. that way i can go straigth from work. lol yeah im lazy

weeknights work for me.

saturdays are usually the best for me. week nights arent good i work 3rd and i usually sleep in the evenings.

has any one rode 74 north of carlisle to port royal. I did it today and I cant wait to do it again. Some good twisty mountain roads. it made me realize i need to work on my cornering. Keep an eye out for trucks though. had one come across the yellow on a blind corner.

Matt...You pretty much know my schedule...It just really depends If ALlen has a DJ gig and so-forth. But you know my evenings are pretty much free except for Wednesday becaue that's my current bowling night. The only draw-back is I'm still learning and still pretty slow. Haven't done ANY heavy traffic areas or have NO experience on the highway. HOWEVER...The mig 28...er.....(sorry...) AHEM...However...I do like night riding. Not very much traffic; just have to watch out for the little critters that like to creep at night. ;) :lol:

So HE can go on the ephreta run the first sunday of september! :D oh, and HE is getting Metzler M1 'techs. 107.00 for the 160 rear on americanmotortire..because HE has done his research on the best tires for Kats.

Actually they do, its not specifically designed for kats, but you can make a set fit pretty nicely. Know of several people that have them. But they are alittle pricey, and the Metz. M1's are very good quality tires...hell anything is better than crapadams :lol:

I know Gas swears by the powers, but my checkbook swears at me too when it see's the price difference ;)

Ive done some more research in the last 24 hours or so, and also found some Strada's for a great price too. When I say best for a Kat, these are people that rail the twisties on a daily basis with the best of them, but still ride alot of straight boring roads at times too. They are a good combination of tire that will hold up thru everyday riding. Not one prone to flat spots, or that will wear out after a solid year of riding. Obviously that varies on how much and how you ride, but they are a good solid tire that can rail and still hold up well to the pressures of just plain old everyday riding where ur not draggin a knee on every curve. Plus they are reasonably priced. SO THERE !! :neen: Anywho, as I was saying I found some good prices on strada's as well as the Metz M1's so we'll see !

Are you guys still trying to organize some group rides? I'm down if you are. Oh and btw...74 is a nice road. Anyone ever gone over 233 from Newville to Perry County? That is one hell of a twisty road through the state park.
