Droptop 07-17-2005, 08:40 PM I am having a hard time writitng this message today!!! Since I just got the info....
Last night Ryan A young kid who rides a 05 yellow gsxr 600 passed away while riding his motorcycle...
I have only known ryan for a short time.. But in that time he has became near and dear to my heart. Everytime we would show up at the spot he would be there with the rest of the crew. He would be out rockin wheelies. He even crashed the other day and I was given him a hard time.. But I still took his bike home and fixed it...so he could ride home.. Just the other day the crew was hanging out, chris, jesse, the girls, donut... me, and ryan... I was messing with him out there..This FUC*KING SUCKS ass...
I wasnt out there last night...I have so many thoughts and emotions...But my prayers go out to his family....I know everyone here downriver is impacted by this.. cause ryan could never do nothing wrong to anyone.. He was shy and innocent.....
Ryan was only 17 if I am correct.. He just wanted to do what everyone else wanted to do and have fun with all of us...
I know somone is going to ask how he died.. I dont blame ryan for what he did.. I probably would have done the same thing in my younger years on my bike. Ryan was running from the police last night.. dunno what he was doing to have the police to chase him... I hate to put news out like this..
But please all u older veterans out there on bikes when u see one of these new young riders on bikes.. PLEASE talk to them.. U never know what good u could do.. I am always trying to talk to everyone stressing saftey.....
IM out.. I cant really type much more.. I
U will be missed
If there is anything AOB Can do for his family.. lets start getting it together..
Chris and jesse I know u will help out.. someone get ahold of his family.. post all the info up as soon as possible!!!!
Droptop 07-17-2005, 08:42 PM Okay here is the situation with Ryans arangments...
There is a law that says u have to wait 24 hours before any funeral arangments can be made... So More than likely we will have all the information posted Monday!!!
We talked to Ryans father today.. And he said that he wants everyone to ride there bikes to the funeral and to the burial site. He said it wasnt the bikes fault.. and besides ryan loved to ride so what better way to celebrate his life here on earth!!!
If anyone would like to visit the scene of the accident and drop off flowers or just show there love.. It is on the corner of NORTHLINE AND TELEGRAPH RD. In Taylor MI....
We are also planning a memorial/wake.. we are not completly sure on all the details.. But here is what it is looking like.. Possibly this following sunday @ 11pm at Spinnikers in Wyandotte Michigan... We will be having a babracue and celebrating his life....
We will also be taken donations for Ryans Family by way of cash and paypal for anyone who wants to donate to his family in this time of need.
SO All information should be posted by monday night and u can also check out www.alloddsbeaten.com for more info also
We are going to plan a huge memorial ride.. we woudl like everyone to come.. even if u didnt know him... I will keep everyone informed!!!
Thank You Everyone!!!

R.I.P.
Grafixx01 07-17-2005, 09:44 PM I'm sorry to hear that he passed away. It doesn't matter how it happened or what the circumstances were, it's just sad to hear when someone passes. My prayers are with his family...
Mudpuppy 07-17-2005, 09:51 PM Man that sucks. Sorry to hear that. I will post this up on the WOS site and see if we can drum up some local support and get some bikes out there for it along with some donations.. I think you are a member of WOS forum - come post some details there as well please.. Let me know the details and I will definately send my donation and try to be there on my bike, etc.

Gas Man 07-17-2005, 11:54 PM Drop....my heart is out to you and his family and loved ones. Please make sure you check in on the WOS board. I have no idea who he is but if you want biker presence at his services I'm sure WOS will do what we can, I know I will. It is sad to hear about these things especially when they hit close to home.
I feel ya on the safety aspect of the riding. Myself and WOS tries to do what we can to promote better safety in our so dangerous sport.
MP or Drop... be sure to cross promote this on the Redline site as well to see what we can do to help out with at least biker support!
RIP Ryan...
snakemann 07-17-2005, 11:58 PM Sad news.....Sorry to hear about it, thoughts & prayers are with u

Gas Man 07-18-2005, 12:43 AM That is just horrible Drop! Make sure you keep us up to date on this.... I know many of us from the area want to help!
Grafixx01 07-18-2005, 01:27 AM I'd be there if I was in that area. But I'll be there in spirit.
bumblebee 07-18-2005, 07:25 AM I'm sorry to hear about Ryan...it's a shame when someone so young dies is something as useless as a traffic accident...And you are correct, the veterans need to talk to the younger riders about safety and responsibility. It's cheaper to stop and face the ticket...Paying any amount in fines or license suspensions are nothing considering the price Ryan has paid...
Matthew 77 07-18-2005, 09:09 AM It always saddens me to hear of a downed rider...Our prayers go out from OKC...
Father God,
Thank You for this glorious day...For the love that You shine down upon us...We are humbled and amazed at all YOU do for the likes of us...thank You Jesus...
We know that first and foremost You are ultimatly good...You are not punishing...We also know that all things happen because YOU want them to...Thank You for knowing better for us than we do...
It saddens us to come to You today...it seems that yet another rider is downed...He was a young warrior with a lot of life ahead of him...We can't ask why, as we would never understand...Instead let us lift the family of this young warrior...Let us lift them high and ask for Your love to pour down upon them...
Jesus, pour out to this family...Show them Your love and guidance...Wrap this family and all of Ryan's friends in Your comforting arms...Giving them peace and comfort in this saddening times...Help them to not focus on the how or why, but instead to be thankful for Your mercy and grace...Lift their spirits and love them much...
Father God, thank You...Thank You for providing the grace and mercy...Thank You for loving and healing...Hearts will hurt...Lives are forever changed...But, through You we know that all is going to be good...
It is in Jesus name...
Amen...

Same here. One of my friends wants a bike and he's been watchin' me ride the R6 around town. He has like a worked over import and thinks that it is fast enough. So he said that he doesn't want me to allow him to buy anything higher than a 500cc bike. Said my R6 is way way way too much for him. First smart thing I've ever heard come from his mouth!

Chuckademus 07-18-2005, 04:38 PM My most heartfelt condolences, Drop.
A friend of mine died last week. Stupid accident, he tripped on a train station at exactly the wrong time. Chris was 20. As a number of the preceding posts have said, it doesn't matter what he was doing, or how it happened, it just sucks!
Once again, sorry to hear it! Hang in there!!
Chuck
Guideon72 07-18-2005, 04:45 PM I'm very sorry to hear that, DT :( My condolences to you, his family and friends!

May God Bless your soul and fill it with hapiness in your next life..
cerveja 07-18-2005, 07:09 PM I am very sorry to hear about Ryan's passing. I did not have a chance to meet him, however it sounds like he was a great individual which makes losing him that much worse. I unfortunately will be out of town on Thursday as will a large portion of the WOS crew. However I am sure that Ryan will be in our thoughts and prayers on that sad day.
God Bless.
Gas Man 07-18-2005, 10:23 PM Well I'm still going to be around and will be looking for more info on this and trying to make it. I think it's a good thing... I'm sure, as every rider would feel, that he will be looking down and thinking "how cool is that...look at all those riders". At least I hope that is the case.
Drop I'll be calling you tomorrow during the afternoon and getting more info from you on this...

That was very sweet and heartfelt. I couldn't have said it better myself BabyNinja
A local Detroit radio station (97.1 FM talk radio) just had someone call into their show to discuss this memorial etc.
Interesting to hear non-riders (hosts of show and callers) opinions of what happened considering he did the stupid thing of fleeing from the police. Majority of non-riders dont have respect for us riders, yet when something like this happens and a rider dies while running from the police it gives us an even worse image!

Same thing like if you watch "Cops" or "Worlds Scariest", people see others fleeing or doing stupid things on bikes and assume we all do that. Even people around here hate Sportbike riders, NOT Cruisers though, cause of things like wheelies down the highway at 100+mph they did.

:iagree: the image continually gets worse, partly because so many young kids can find a few grand, go out and buy a bike and run wild on them.
Running from the pookie & running a red light= NOT A GOOD IDEA!

Gas Man 07-20-2005, 12:00 AM I really get sick of the non-rider people and their messed up views of riders!
