http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/machineTmpl.jsp This is effin awesome...i'm in love and a steal at only 22Grand You get what you pay for in life ;) 22K price little over stated for S. Base price under 18K. Unlike BMW cars, BMW Motorcycles dealers do deal well under MSRP, even for new S model in Bay Area. Test drove K1200S few weeks ago BMW San Francisco :dthumb: Could have walked out with fully optioned S with bags, plus Ca sales tax 19.5K out the door.

I think it's great!! Personally, I'm very bored with the same ol' same ol' from Japan. Of course, at 22k, I'd be looking at an MV Agusta.

I think that bike is slick...however people are telling me to start out with something smaller....grrrr...I tried to ride my friends Suzuki last weekend and almost dropped the bike. He says something about having to lower the bike so I can reach the ground. *slams head on desk*

So what are the restrictions when you start riding in the states?

Grafixx01

So what are the restrictions when you start riding in the states? You asking this in general? Cause if so it depends on the state that you are registered and riding through.

Not really! You have to have a motorcycle endorsement, tags, inspection and (for most states) insurance. Other wise just obey the posted speed and general driving rules.

PG...you aren't/weren't really considering a K1200S as a first bike were you? If so please allow me to e-slap you back into reality. I rode one of these and it is nothing for a newbie to even think about touching. Would you think of purchasing a Busa as your first bike? I don't think so! So you wouldn't buy a 1200s either! It is designed to be a Busa killer... hence good power and speed.... Get off the crack girl!

Yes, but does the girl come with the bike upon purchase? she an 'add-on'? or do you have to pay for her? Yeah I like Gas Mans Avatar (more because of the bike than the girl). Definatley not an option when I bought my RC though. The picture of the RC is from an original add. The girl has been cropped in at some point by someone. Have seen same image with different girls in positions.

I love the K1200S. It's a georgous bike. I got the chance to sit on one at Daytona. It seems alittle lighter and easier to toss around then a Busa or ZX-12. It's on my list to buy in the next few years :dthumb:
