bulldog 07-25-2005, 04:41 PM well lol my first out of state ride and i ate it, wont get into details right now but i am not to bad, i have a badly bruised body and, a lil road rash here and there but hwat i was wearing helped out a lot,
here: i have brused right hand, road rash that is bad only on knee and below my rist on the left side, road rash all on my back but it isent deep, it is just like scrapes, i almost needed one stich in my schin lol, and i got to see how super man feels when he flies lol
we were just across the navada border and there was this moderate speed corner, then i see eren (friend) braking hard, well there was a bump that you couldent see in the road, so he has anti lock brakes and he made it fine, i broke as hard as i could before the bump, hit the bump the the rear slid out so i let the back brake go thinking i could save a low side, and i did for about 2 feet then i relized i hadeto use the back brake unless i whanted to loose the bike off the cliff and never get it back lol.....so i hit the brake again and it slid ut again (gravel on the road) so like the newbie i am i let the brake go trien to save the low side again and i took the great all mighty high side
got catapolted over my right handle bar and the bike hit a boulder that was about 4 feet in radious and that did the damege to the bike, but i am glad it took that boulder kuz the boulder stopd thebike and went rolling down the hill just like i did, so when i flew over t he bar i hit something and did a sidways spin thingy lol (that is the main thing that hurts riht now) and scratched and hit and slid down every rock in the god dam hill, then i guess i lost consiousness for a bout 30 seconds then i jumped up, my fingers hit something because they hurt like hell and they were the size of grapes
the bike isent ridable right now ad i had to pick it up in my truck to take it home, wasent home until 4 in the mornin yesterday, and i ate it at like 3
i am lucky to have only this mutch sdammege
the bike needs a rear rim (i think thats what hit the boulder but i dont know i have a 6 inch bend in the rim)
a whole shifting lever and left foot peg
a left blinker
a left mirror
a rear brake light
all arounbd cosmedicts but that willl wait
and i need to take off the passenger peg or get a new one for the left side b/c it is bent out all the way to wear it is streight withthe ground
all in all it was the worst ride i have been on yet lol
its okay though i wil get her fixed up in no time :dthumb: :twfrox:
i dont know why but it dident scare me from riding, i will have her fixed and out again hopefully before the end of football season

Grafixx01 07-25-2005, 06:25 PM That sucks man. I went riding last night over the mountain pass and it's got some decent twisties on it. Not the picture that i posted on here, another one.
I was riding with about five others as we were on our way home and they let me lead the pack of riders, I was taking the turns at like 95+mph and the other guys were probably like 1/4mile or more behind me. I stopped at the light to wait for them and they were like, "Dude, you're nuts. I can't believe you were leaning over that far and going that fast."
One of them did what you did but recovered. He tried to catch up to me and as I was coming out of the turn accelerating, he was going in. He told me that he held the throttle the same as he was, but when he was going through he gave it too much gas and his rear started sliding. He hit the back brake, skidded but recovered.
Glad to hear you're ok. Hope you get better quickly.
f4ilapper 07-25-2005, 08:00 PM :wredx: :wredx: :wredx:
Glad your ok. Bikes can be fixed. Think about getting on the track when you get things fixed up. It is a much more forgiving place to have a get off.
:luck:
Gas Man 07-25-2005, 11:13 PM Yeah... glad you're ok and the bike can be fixed!
:nopicsbs:
Let us know when you are ready to start looking for parts. I suggest you get a ebay and paypal account.. you're going to need them!
Earlzach 07-26-2005, 12:02 AM Good to see things will be ok, I'm sure you dont want to hear from me but could it have been the new front tire? Or a patched up one. Because on sunday it was still flat. Just wandering if you are able to confirm that a repaired front tire isnt a good way to go. Or was the new tire ok it was just rider error. We dont have any 24 hour cycle centers where I live that would do a tire Sunday afternoon. Your lucky. :dthumb:

Grafixx01 07-26-2005, 01:51 AM Still glad to hear you're ok. Bike and the parts are replaceable. Just be a jiggalo and find some old lady that is gonna kick the bucket and marry her. Then when she kicks, get all her money!

:iagree:
Just get that bike fixed before your whole summer passes you by. Plenty of more riding left to do. But get yourself well first.
bulldog 07-26-2005, 08:11 AM well now school is about to start so between football school and other things i wont be able to work that mutch so i wont be able to work on the bike, but the dirt bike is goin for sale and that will help a lot on the street bike, i have nothing else to sell so i have to work for all the rest
Gas Man 07-26-2005, 09:22 AM Sounds like you have a plan, Bull.
Earl, I was wondering the about the same thing. And he lives in Cali so the summer thing is no biggie!

Yeppers...some of us live where it is summer every day... :dthumb: We have two seasons here...summer and Hurricane...
Mudpuppy 07-26-2005, 11:30 AM the most important part is you are in one piece for the most part and did you learn anything? If not then it was a wasted wreck. The first rule of crashing - don't do it.
twisty 07-26-2005, 12:11 PM You should slow down and learn the basic mechanics of riding before you kill yourself.
pickle.of.doom 07-26-2005, 12:20 PM :iagree:
Glad you are still kickin it with us bull :dthumb: Hope ya get everything straightened out quickly. Make sure you (or better yet a shop) check out your frame and subframe for damage.
zx636r 07-26-2005, 12:20 PM i think the only lesson learned is that low side is better then high side.
snadamo 07-26-2005, 12:23 PM Yeppers...some of us live where it is summer every day... :dthumb: We have two seasons here...summer and Hurricane...
:iagree: AZ rides all year long! :dthumb:
Except we have 3 seasons. Cool, Hot, OMFG ITS SO HOT, BUT I WILL RIDE MY BIKE ANYWAY!
I think we are in the OMFG ITS SO HOT, BUT I WILL RIDE MY BIKE ANYWAY! season (thats if i HAD my bike right now)
BTW: From the desscription of the accident you gave us, You are lucky you are alive and walking and the bike is repairable. Im glad you are okay. :dthumb: Anytime something like this happens, you learn something. I hope you did so it doesnt happen again. That would suck. :yesnod: :luck: with the fixes and recovery. eBay is now your bikes best friend!
bulldog 07-26-2005, 01:48 PM the most important part is you are in one piece for the most part and did you learn anything? If not then it was a wasted wreck. The first rule of crashing - don't do it.
well i dident learn anything...... well i dont whant to say that, but i know what i did wrong my ignorant ass whanted to save a low side but took the high side, but either way i was goin down that hilll and i knw it for a good 2 seconds and i thought a lot of things while it was happening, even when i was tumbling i remember my self trieng to fight the crash still, it is hard to explain but i am glad of the out come it is the best thing that could have happened, i shoulda got messed up a lot more i hit those boulders and everyone of them weighed 3 times as mutch as i did and i got to see how it was to be a ping pong ball
Captain Morgan 07-26-2005, 01:59 PM Well, what you SHOULD have learned is that you need to KNOW the road prior to zipping around, and even then, things can unexpectedly happen. That's why you always need to be aware of your surroundings and know your bike. Hopefully you also learned to wear your gear. Now you need to get the bike back together and start saving for some track days and riding schools.
If you honestly didn't learn anything from the wreck, then maybe you need to sell the bike before you take yourself out of this world.

well i knew what i SHOULD of done but i just dident do it, so did i learn something? i guess in a way i did

:iagree:
No doubt I couldn't have said it better.. You may want to look cool or something but how cool will you look in a closed casket? Slow down and be humble, learn the bike, etc. before you become another statistic.. Like Capn said if you didn't learn anything from the wreck like hey I should take a class or 20 and figure out that I am not invincible and getting f&cked up on something with that much power is pretty easy and I shouldn't be a dumbass and think I know something I don't.. Rise above the jacktards and learn to ride the right way so you can ride a long time and enjoy it.. Not being able to control your bike and crashing is just being a stupid ass.. Being so fresh to riding that when you try to ride above your ability, like you did, leaves too much room for error - you will find yourself in a similar situation and panic - panic plus bike at speed = NFG situation. You can keep acting big and bad or you can start listening to some people that know wtf they are talking about on here, learn something, increase your riding enjoyment and stay alive a little longer..
Earlzach 07-26-2005, 10:30 PM Mudpuppy,
I like the direct approch. You said a mouthfull. I didnt come here to make friends with future statistics. But freinds with future riders and with peeps who enjoy living to ride. He can learn a lot from his incident. It dont hurt to think soft even though you feel tough.
Cody, Mudpuppy is dead on with his statements, you should count your blessing pal, you had an eye opener that so many others dont get. Just get well get the bike TOTALY fixed and have it checked out. You will be back on it in no time and and I'm sure you will still be a maniac you will just be a maniac who slows down sooner and corners softer for awhile. :dthumb:
Make sure your ready to ride also when you get on.
ne1469 07-26-2005, 11:38 PM :yikes: ............Glad to hear your alright and wish ya a speedy recovery! :luck:
bumblebee 07-27-2005, 07:52 AM well i knew what i SHOULD of done but i just dident do it, so did i learn something? i guess in a way i did

GsxrJack 07-27-2005, 09:43 AM glad your ok and able to walk away from it, now be carefull...
