ScottSellersUNR 09-26-2005, 10:40 PM Ok so it probalby was oinly a few inches up, but it came up and made the cool suspension sound they make coming back down.. i was happy.. did a few more.... Then tried it in a diffrenet spot.. the road wasnt that smooth.... DONT DO EM ON ROUGH ROADS.
U need a smooth road thats not brand new with oils.... but smooth provides traction... on the rough road the brakes locked nad the tire squirmed....not a very confident feeling.. my legs went stright out and i let off and it came down ok, but scary....
Moral.. USE GOOD ROADS.. Smooth but at least a few monthes old with decnet traffic so u get the mostgrip u can.
R1up0n1 09-26-2005, 10:47 PM It's not a good idea to do them in a parking lot either...when I was practicing earlier this year I hit a slick spot, and my front tire slid...I didn't crash but I learned a quick lesson.
jeeps84 09-26-2005, 10:51 PM Smooth and clean surfaces only.

 You mean like, "I've crashed enough that I ought to know better than to even be trying this?"
marko138 09-27-2005, 08:11 AM Another good way to not F up your bike by doing stoppies is to NOT DO THEM.
Earlzach 09-27-2005, 08:12 AM You should practice going toward a big wall this way you will never go over.
Just Kidding. It is a rediculas stunt as it is to me. It looks cool but even the ones who have done it a lot screw up. :yikes:
marko138 09-27-2005, 08:25 AM :iagree: My buddy (who doesn't ride anymore...but anyway...) had one come up just a little too far on him. The result: huge softball sized burn on his leg from the hot ass exhaust. OUCH. :smash:
Gas Man 09-27-2005, 08:29 PM The stoppies gone wrong go wrong REALLY bad!
JK_DILLA 09-27-2005, 08:31 PM Did a few littles ones on a katana, none since. Too much risk to reward for me now. Guess im old now.

I would pay to see a chopper on standing on the front wheel. THAT would be killer.

Yeah no doubt!!! Could you imagine when the handlebars turn and I go flying!

Gas Man 10-03-2005, 11:55 AM There ya go... but I think I'll leave that for you... you got all the money!
Serouisly though, I bet I know a certain outspoken WOS member that would try it just to try it!
