Motorcylcyclist get free pass at American/Canadian Border?

Last two years have crossed into Canada by land and ferry 6 times on my motorcyle. Not one time has custom agent of both countries, asked me to remove my full face helmet or search any of my bags. Just a few questions and on my way. Sure hope terrorists do not come in by motorcycle :mad:

When I lived in Detroit, before 9/11, I've had the vehicle searched. Never tried on a MC back then.

We headed up to Montreal once. Had a joint or two on us and sweated our arses off crossing the border. Judge me if you like, but I am a diabetic and I rather smoke a J than raise my sugers with beer. But anyway, all they did was ask some routine questions and we were on our way.

I almost tried taking my motorcycle to Mexico but I heard some bad stories and decided against it. :here:

how come ? because there is only a few reasons to go to Canada.. 1. gambling...have it here now! 2. under age 21 drinking...um, hasn't applied in many years 3. to buy some duty free and tax free smokes....don't smoke!! So you may say why not...I say why!!??!!
