I assume eventhough most of the paint is on plastic, that there's still clear coat. . ?

I guess you see a difference? You put the actual polish on and let it dry, wipe it off, then spray it down with the last stage? (I can't remember the numbers. . Z4, etc)

It was an everyday thing for me...or right before a ride. Or even a quick shine with Plexus on breaks.

Often. I usually wax once a month and wash at least every two weeks. Honda spray polish works great for quick cleanups and does a really nice "no water" job. I've had no issue waxing the paint on the plastic parts if thats your question.

Iv never had an issue with auto wax on plastic parts. Except the rough stuff which is self explanatory.

I have always clay bar'ed the tank, did a polish on everything then a wax coat. A much deeper color!

I am in need to wash the bike and the car. Its not raining anymore so its time to give them bath's. I would say once a month I use a very damp cloth around all the plastics. I have a bucket with suds in it at the side After that, Windex seems to work good on marks and the windsheild. If necessary I get the tires good as well. It does the job pretty well.

BMW all painted parts clear coated :dthumb: Touch up paint kit comes with clear coat tube. See, I never had a BMW bike or car. From the stone chips. I really don't think any of the plastic parts on my Duc's where clear coated.

I use Honda Cleaner/polish after every ride...I bucket wash it with a quality surfactant about once a month. I detail clean/polish behind the fairings when I change the oil or open/remove air box to do plugs etc. and the chain gets attention about every 500 miles...

The clear coat is on the tank only cuz it's metal. I spray it down w/ windex and then go over it w/ Plexus. It took me a lot of experimenting w/ different types of cleaners, waxes, polishes and I finally found a good combination. I usually wax once a month-clean with windex, mcguires tech wax, no plexus. If I use plexus after waxing it leaves a residue because of the wax. But that plexus works the bomb!! I also bought these $5.99 terry cloth also from mcguires (i got three of 'em). These are the best ones out there! I tried the clay bar but I think on plastic you have different results.
