a few weeks ago my bike got drilled by a SV650 while i was making a left hander, mostly plastic damage, but it's ok as i wanted to get a custom paint job anyways. So my question to you guys are what kind of paint job would you guys get. Solid, kandy kolor paint, or two toned maybe with a fade, or some time of 2 tone flame/tribal design. Thanks in advance

I've got a truck with the color-shifting paint - Bermuda Blue (GM color) I really like it. I think the color changing paints look good on a lot of bikes. It's not obnoxious but it is different.

I voted a single color. I also ride a 7R (03) that currently has color-shifting paint and I hate it. It appears as a dark blue with lighter hues depending on the angle when viewed in the sun. It also collects dust like a mofo. It was painted like this when i purchased it. I am having mine re-painted in February either silver or copper. Be sure to upload pics once you get yours done.

I would have my bike painted a single color, and I would paint my helmet with the color-shifting paint.

The dark colors will all show the dirt, dust and water spots badly.

ryd... really... you hate it? Show us some better pics! Yes sir, can't stand it. It not so much the actual shift in color but the amount of dust and dirt the dark color collects. Unfortunately, I don't have any good close-ups and the plastics have already been removed. They are now sitting in my basement awaiting a few mods (covering the grab handle holes) and minor repair.

I'd go with a two tone job. Maybe not a fade but just a two-tone. One color would be alright but you need to have a good secondary blend too so it doesn't look corny cuz your bike is one solid color.

Im painting my 01 zx6R as soon as I find some new plastics. I would ike to maintain the yellow/black two tone look, but I dont think I would get the fade. Im letting my bike be a canvas for a buddy who wants to try painting it. Worse comes to worse, I get it painted all black, which looks sweet too :D

The dark colors will all show the dirt, dust and water spots badly. Mine is mostly white, with white wheels. Impossible to keep clean.

I want to know how he got drilled by the SV. Was it in your riding group or some other guy you didn't know?

we were riding 4 deep, and i was 2nd in line, the sv was supposed be be at the back of the pack, as he didn't know where we were going. The 1st bike takes the left hand turn, then as i start to lean into the turn i hear tires squealing and out of the corner of my eye i see the sv commin right at me. The idiot tried to blow past the 3rd guy in line (who was riding a busa), and claimed he didn't see my turn signals. How he failed to see the 1st guy turn i dunno, how he didn't see my signals i dunno, and why he was flying down a road where he didn't know his way i dunno. BTW it was also a residental neighborhood, if was doin the speed limit my bike would still be on the road.
