I love seeing those videos of riders at the gap on pocket bikes...looks like a blast!! rockadaous 09-13-2004, 06:44 PM that busa is sick
http://www.oneidasuzuki.com/img/2005img/images/1/oneidasuzuki05preview_001.jpg Gas Man 09-13-2004, 08:14 PM I don't get it? Sick? More like sick of seeing the same old thing! :loser: Why don't they update that poor thing? :smash: It is like all of us americans...fat, old, and slow. :screwy: Why don't they trim it down, beef up its motor and make it faster flat out than the 1000? That's what the big deal was in the first place. That it would rip it up on the straights but it won't even do that anymore with all these new updates in the 1000cc division. The new GSXR and the 10R will eat the busa and be lookin for more. Need4Speed 09-13-2004, 09:14 PM I don't get it? Sick? zuki has been sitting on their laurels with this bike for quite some time, I guess they think it's still king &%$#, so why mess with it   valpoboyzkenny 09-14-2004, 12:24 AM I do my own updates to my busa! :D beanz 09-14-2004, 04:41 AM i was just about to say some just like that
whats with so busa's in the south of the border

no one like twisties down there? Need4Speed 09-14-2004, 08:49 AM i was just about to say some just like that

a busa wouldnt be my first choice for canyon carving, not by a mile..gimme a ZX10,Gixxer1000, etc...much lighter and not feeling like you're riding a rocket charged brama bull  rockadaous 09-14-2004, 09:41 AM I like the 1000's too, but I've always liked the look of the busa. the new 2005 gixxers are ugly now. they should have left them alone too. Aaron 09-14-2004, 07:08 PM whats with the muffler on the R1000? TL1000 10-13-2004, 10:04 AM no tl.......... not interested kanwisch 10-13-2004, 11:04 AM What I think is nasty about the 1k's is the freakin' muffler. I guess I equate fat muffler with fat a$$. Yech! I much prefer the undertail muffler style :2cents: Need4Speed 10-13-2004, 11:42 AM aftermarket exhaust is where it's at anyways...if im gonna dump a boat load of cash on this bike, i'll have them yank that muffler off before i even take delivery. valpoboyzkenny 10-13-2004, 06:27 PM busas aren't too bad in the turns once youre used to them. nowhere near an R1 or the like. There are some mods that you can do that make them hang with the big dogs in the twisties though. such as installing a swingarm from the first generation of gsxr 1000's to shorten the wheelbase, switch to magnesium rims and lighter rotors along with sprockets to shed rotating weight and you can really flick it around in the turns :helmet: jeeps84 10-24-2004, 10:11 AM Click! Just no't what I expected!!!(GSXR 1000) GSXR1000DJ 10-24-2004, 12:51 PM Just no't what I expected!!!(GSXR 1000)
I have heard that from a few ppl and I think the same thing. I was talking to my local dealer and they are telling to wait till it gets in the shop and then look at it. May feel different about it then. :) | |
