jappysRR 12-28-2005, 08:38 PM Ok ladies, here's the deal. Right now I have an Icon Motorhead jacket. Yes, it's to big and that does bring up a huge safety issue, but (just like a chick) I liked the color, the style and the quality of the leather (it seems thicker then womens jackets.
Here's the deal, I know a few women that have taken the customary low speed low side, and all of them had Icon womens jackets on at the time. The Kitty, Tuscadero etc. And all of them tore at the seams or the leather scraped down to the skin. As much as I like some of the styles of Icon, I would rather now risk my neck or my skin for a "cutsie" jacket. Besides Icon, is there anything else out there? I've looked and it seems that no one has anything that is even remotely stylish.
They either make it in all black (to damn hot!), it looks like a Harley threw up on it (fringe, no thanks!) or the leather is thin and crappy. I also need a two piece or a one piece suit. With my size at a whopping 0-2, it's almost impossible to find anything that fits. Any suggestions?
Gas Man 12-29-2005, 12:20 AM Well I just got the wife a nice Power Trip Jacket that you might like. Check out my thread on it... here! (http://www.twowheelforum.com/showthread.php?t=7710)
jeeps84 12-29-2005, 02:33 AM Contact Alpine Stars and or Vansons customer service both should have what ever you need but, custom sizes and colors do coast extra.
1hottbikechic 01-18-2006, 01:02 PM There are some fantastic jackets by Joe Rocket for women that are adorable! I have a pink Trixie jacket, they make them in red, black, pink and I'm not sure what other colors! I have a picture of mine if you're intrested! Good Luck! :dthumb:
itgirl25 01-18-2006, 03:01 PM  i have an alpinestars 2 pc. leather suit i bought online. it is european sizing which means it runs smaller. i have no idea how small they go though, i've never seemed to be blessed with the problem of not finding clothes small enough for me. but i'm okay with that...after all i'm built for comfort, not for speed. anyways, that suit does me nicely. good luck with your search, and eat a cheeseburger for god's sake (j/k  ).
ScottSellersUNR 01-19-2006, 01:22 AM choices are a bit more limited in womans sizes, but A*'s is ALWAYS top quality, and as far as Rocket i htink them and Icon are on the same level, but thats just my opinion. Vanson makes good stuff but not cheapand they sell to harley guys..lol but the quality is there with them there Dainese and Teknic too but not sure how well they cater to womans.. Technik (SP?) makes good gear too, and comparalbe prices to A*'s.
neebelung 02-16-2006, 11:31 AM I have a JR Trixie, which I love. The fit is perfect, it's a bit longer in back (to keep panty-peek to a minimum for those behind you), and it's very supple leather (but well armoured).
As petite as you are, I'd look into Teknic. Their jackets are sized like dress sizes -- 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, etc... so the fit is more "custom" than lines that only offer S, M, L, etc...... And Teknic is offering more this year to compete with Icon (flashier/more interesting designs).
FireNIce 03-19-2006, 09:55 PM I had a hard spill on my Gixxer. My First Gear textile jacket did its job. Thanks to my AlpineStars boots. I didn't break my ankle either. Jeeps said from the damage to the boot, It did its job. Still hurt for a few weeks.
jeeps84 03-19-2006, 10:51 PM I fixed your post. You said you did break it when you didn't.
I just bought a Teknic Supervent and am super happy with the fit and quality. I usually wear a dress size 8 and the jacket fits true. It's also a little longer in the back and has a loop to connect to your jeans so there's not so much thong on display. lol. And the bonus? It's pink!
I had also considered the Teknic Daytona which is identical in style and color, but made from cowhide. I'm still new to the biking scene and thought I would go with the cheaper of the two for now until I'm ready to commit to more serious gear.
