What's winter?

I never put my bike up for the winter. i keep it in a heated garage, And i start it every other day to keep the battery up. only thing i did was put stabilt in the gas to keep it from going bad. on nice days all i do is start it and go.. longest i went without riding this winter was 3 weeks!!!

My bikes only rest. They await their turn for a day out. The Monster had the honors today:D No more than 3 weeks for me too. I don't think I ever actually went that long this year.

Unfortunately mine just went into hibernation for a couple weeks while I am in north alabama. I don't know how you can stand it down here Shan. I am in Decatur for the Brown's Ferry refuel. I do not like Bammers.

Well yeah... the 2 week call is sked sometime in mid March... getting the bike somewhere from mid march to end of march... so far everythings ok... I have been stopping in about every other week to see if the dealer has heard ANYTHING yet on it...

I'm riding all weekend as long as it's not raining! I am dying to get out on the R1. 33.6 miles so far isn't enough!

Going to get up to nearly 60 by this weekend!!! And I don't have my bike yet!!!!!!! I feel as sick as you with the nice weather predicted for this weekend. Unfortunately, my bike is still in pieces. I dropped my plastics off at the shop yesterday for paint. I still have to order my SS lines and clutch lever. I should be good to go by the end of the month.

Oh, I figure with my luck I'll get my bike the day before or they'll call me the day after I go out of town for work!!!

Give me a nice 95 degrees with a breeze, i could live like that forever...then again, one day I want to live in Bora Bora...:drool:

it was freakin 65 degrees outside today and i'm stuck in pittsburgh:cursin: ahh I felt like I should have been home riding all day. I've got another long day tomorrow, but at least I will be home for the weekend. Watch it will rain all weekend or somethin....I just want to ride my new bike!

It doesn't snow that much here but, 30 degree days are normal from November through March. Still slip in the occasional 50 degree ridding day every once in a while.:D

My ride officially came out of hibernation yesterday. In the last two weekends I've done the regular maintenance (new plugs, air filter, switched to synthetic oil, etc.), installed my SS lines, installed a few cosmetic goodies, and installed my repainted plastics. Although it was little cold, I took the bike out yesterday for its first ride of the season.

Well this is just freaking awesome!!! It looks like my baby gets to come out of the black cover and see the day light almost all week. I've only had my baby out 3 times since I've bought her and only one real day of riding. Other than that she's been hibrinating under the black cover. Just another reason I like to be able to ride almost year round. Only taking a break for a few weeks at a time. My carbed bikes don't usually have trouble starting when their turn comes for a day out.

I put 60 or so miles on the beast this last weekend... it warmed up to 45* so I headed out... couldn't ride for more than a couple hours just cruz'n arround town... but had to be really carefull as there's still alot of gravel on the corners and intersections... had one little incident with a guy try'n to paint his car WITH my bike... it's supposed to rain till next tuesday... but should be clear after that... I HOPE!... :lol::luck:

Got up to 70 somin today!!! Lugged on a few more miles before dropping her off for the 500 mile service... so I was close to 600... no biggie!

Yep yep...got the gix out again Monday. Got a little chilly as the sun went down. She's still splodgin (made that word up) oil a little bit...from like 3 or 4 bolts on the pan. I've gotta rip the exhaust to shore them suckers up though. It's leaking just a touch when the engine heats up...of course it's where the fairing doesn't cover the underside...so it looks on to the rear a little. Makes for a more motard like ride as the rear slides just a weeee bit until the oil wipes off. :yikes: That's a project for next week.
