There was a article in Cycle World this month about this "Bling Kind" TBR 636 bike. They did a dirt bike the last time and this time did a full race preped 636 this time for Stewart. The gold plated the wheels, swingarm, frame, subframe, triples, sprockets, brake rotor mounts, and tons fastners.
DJ, pictured below, the builder, said that if it was done again. It would be a $50,000 bike.
I checked the Cycle World show for more info and pics but they didn't have anything. It was the feature on the cover.

he didnt even pay for it...it was a present from two brothers racing, to compliment the completely gold plated 110 dirtbike they gave him a couple of years ago.
And yes I would ride it till the wheels fell off. That thing is nasty!!!
and im not really into flashy stuff generally, but uhhh yes.
and on a sidenote, it makes me mad that two bro's doesnt make that same exhaust for a 600RR.!

Just cant go for this on a sport bike. Leave this stuff for the cruisers.

I don't even think gold would look that great on a cruiser! If someone gave me that bike I'd use it as a stunt bike only.

I was actually thinking a factory prepped Gixxer and maybe a new M1000S.

I'd be afraid to ride it on the road... each little rock chip would take like $10 in gold! F that!

It looks ok. But, I buy bikes to ride, not to look pretty. That thing is a garage queen.

yes its definately a trailer queen...but im sure ya'd win some shows with it!
i'd keep it in my living room. i guess stewart also has a completely gold plated (like literally everything, including the engine) 110 dirtbike that he keeps on the stairway in his home.
I'd surely take them as gifts tho.
i'd post up pics, but i dont feel like submitting and all that so...google. :dthumb:

I saw it in April's cycle world and thought it wasn't that bad. It's not practical for riding but it is a show queen. I'd take it if it was free and then sell it to someone who's into that sort of thing.
I believe the article said he only rides it around the track.
