Gas Man 09-21-2004, 10:51 PM It's been talked about on and off in some different threads, but just as side comments and standard bastardizing of threads. :whore:
However, I thought maybe we could hear some of the numbers (hp) you people are puttin down at the rear wheel. :helmet:
Or if you haven't put your machine up to the dyno, maybe this will enspire you to do so. :redmc:
Last year my ride threw down a impressive 135hp. That's at the pavement. :dthumb: Not too bad on my '02 9R. Engine mod list: stage 2 jet kit, Micron bolt on pipe, K&N filter. That's it!
I even attached a few pics for more fun! First pic of one of the runs, no that's not me. And another of the dyno print off.
ShanMan14 09-22-2004, 03:18 AM I've got roughly 400 at the rear wheel(s). :D
I've never dynoed my bike, only my car. Those are some impressive numbers for your skoot!
Need4Speed 09-22-2004, 07:15 AM thats pretty sweet chris!! they had a dyno run at the bike fest a few months back, but the line was out the wazoo to try it..I might have to give this a shot next season after some of mods are complete.
**waiting for twisty's 4 digit dyno numbers!! :D
Gas Man 09-22-2004, 10:29 AM Thanks guys. I was happy from the big ole Kaw.
Twisty's '04 GSXR 1000 will put down some stupid #'s...
Need4Speed 09-22-2004, 10:42 AM surprised its taken him this long to put up his numbers... :D
twisty 09-22-2004, 12:36 PM I was gonna do it but the dyno was not @ the event.
Gas Man 09-22-2004, 12:39 PM I would like to see what it does. What does the mags say it puts down?
twisty 09-22-2004, 12:51 PM 154 but I think mine will be 160's
Gas Man 09-22-2004, 01:04 PM Yeah I knew it was somin insane, all that in a really light package!
Maybe tonight you and I can do a little switch up, so I can feel the allmighty power of the 1000cc GSXR...
Mudpuppy 09-22-2004, 03:44 PM 154 but I think mine will be 160's
That sucks. Should have bought the new R1 - it is kicking out like 185 stock. DOH!
Need4Speed 09-22-2004, 03:57 PM That sucks. Should have bought the new R1 - it is kicking out like 185 stock. DOH!
Hey MP..what numbers is ur ride blastin out?
Mudpuppy 09-22-2004, 06:52 PM Dunno. Probably around 106 with the Vance and Hines slip on. But then again I didn't just spend $10k on a new GSXR when I could have bought an R1 either.. :sob:

uumm..thinking he is talking to you twisty :D
larryg 09-22-2004, 10:30 PM Nice smooth curve there Gas Man...I remember when it took a 750 Superbike to put down that kind of peak power and the curve looked quite a bit different :)
I don't currently have a bike but the last one I had made about 85 whp stock and about 120 whp when I was done with it.

what all did you do to it to increase the HP ?

Thanks Larry, I appreciate the compliment from you! :dthumb:
GSXR1000DJ 09-23-2004, 03:30 AM My bike was last Dyno in April and at the rear it is pushing out 136. SO far the only things done is Stage 2 kit, K&N, Full Yosh Stainless Exhaust, and a Did Chain and Aluminum Sporcket. Thats it for now. More later to add to the HP. What do you think. Is that pretty good for my 00 GSXR 750?? :)
Gas Man 09-23-2004, 01:27 PM Very nice. I have a timing advancer sitting in the garage that I haven't had a chance to put on and that should help out some.
I too have put on the DiD chain with new sprockets.
valpoboyzkenny 09-23-2004, 01:48 PM Heres mine back in the day after having 13-1 compression drop in pistons put in, everything else was stock at this time. stock exhaust, no power commander, no airbox mod.
Gas Man 09-23-2004, 01:53 PM What was that on, again? But 160 is pretty nice...
Mudpuppy 09-23-2004, 01:56 PM uumm..thinking he is talking to you twisty :D
What gave you the first clue? lol.. I am shocked - either Twisty missed my comment or he gave up trying to dispute me?
valpoboyzkenny 09-23-2004, 02:03 PM its on a 2000 hayabusa, and to this day i have yosh stage 1 cams, brock davidson gen 3 hindle exhaust, PC2, 16 tooth front sprocket, lowered 3 inches, but adjustable for when i wanna hit the turns. hopefully i'll get it to the dyno again soon to get the PC2 tuned in properly. right now i'm having stock fuel pump trouble and switching to an automotive pump with regulator.
Gas Man 09-23-2004, 02:37 PM Well than there is no wonder why you are getting 160. Hell I would think you would be getting more than that!!
Need4Speed 09-23-2004, 03:08 PM :iagree: :iagree: ..atleast
valpoboyzkenny 09-23-2004, 11:48 PM i'm getting curious what it'll put out now with the cams, exhaust, airbox mod, and PC2 tuned.i'm hoping around 190. wouldnt be bad for a stock bore busa and still running pump gas.
larryg 09-24-2004, 12:10 AM what all did you do to it to increase the HP ?
Bigger pistons, waaay more compression, oversize valves, ported head, flatslides, and exhaust.
Larry

But look at that insane torque...101 ft-lbs is HUGE
Larry
bumblebee 10-19-2004, 05:52 PM But look at that insane torque...101 ft-lbs is HUGE
Larry
And after all...that is the most important part...you could have 5000HP but if you can't put it down on the pavement, it is no good
ScottSellersUNR 11-25-2004, 11:38 PM That sucks. Should have bought the new R1 - it is kicking out like 185 stock. DOH!
the 180 somehtign number is yanmahas claim at the Crank....184 i believe.... At hte wheel... under 156.. the ZX10R for 04 is 187 AT THE CRANK... 157.6 at the wheel and it puts oput the highest number for anybike stock of '04.
But the good news for me is my motor and 2900$ to muzzy and they'll send me back a 155-160 HP at the WHEEL bike. not bad considering thats labor included for full rebuild with new cams and bore and stroke kit... espeically from the 136 HP im running at the wheel now on the Z1000....that puts it over 200HP with a fat drag strip nitrous shot....that sounds intense when u couple it with a wheelie bar....once i pay off the bike 400$ a month is going to pay for that mod..lol well both mods.. muzzy bore and stroke and cam job plus the nitrous job....which will be some time later.. as a 11HP at the wheel jump feels impressive... getitgn used to 30 extra will be like going form a 600 to a liter bike again. then the nitrous will just make the freeway and drag strip for to find other liter bikes.
ScottSellersUNR 11-25-2004, 11:44 PM I gotta say the curve on the sheet is AWESOME one of the smoothest power curves ive ever seen... more steady then most cars....and for a bike made for peak power, thats damn nice, gotta be a good feeling under accel from out of corners or drag strip... smooth gives a lot of confidence versus a engine thats dead at 6K then at 7K rips u back 4" in the seat.
Gas Man 11-25-2004, 11:51 PM Scott, you talkin about my sheet???
And yes, it pulls nice, steady and FAST!! Just ask DJ!!!
GSXR1000DJ 11-26-2004, 11:19 AM Scott, you talkin about my sheet???
And yes, it pulls nice, steady and FAST!! Just ask DJ!!!
Yes it does and it does a very nice job at it as well. :dthumb:
Gas Man 11-26-2004, 12:52 PM Thanks DJ, I need the boost with all this bike sleeping and snow!!
GSXR1000DJ 11-26-2004, 12:57 PM Thanks DJ, I need the boost with all this bike sleeping and snow!!
i know what you mean...I just have to go get mine from the shop and park her for the winter now myself. :bash: Don't want to but have to park her. Oh well. Spring is close. :D
Gas Man 02-12-2005, 04:04 PM Got alot of newbies around here.... let's hear some of their dyno runs!!!
GsxrJack 02-12-2005, 04:36 PM 157hp motor only on my 1989gsxr1100, 1186 pistons, stock cams and crank/piston rods, 1mm larger intake/exhaust valves, new valve springs and tons of head porting polishing (forget what numbers they were flowing) we hit 190hp with a quick 50shot nos run and the rear wheel was smoking/slipping....file is around somewhere on a cd disk..will try to find it when i get home from work...
bike ran 10.0@139 motor only with stock swingarm, best was 9.8@153 with juice and baby launch due to traction problems and 4" over swingarm, motor blew before i could ever get a good hard launch with it..should have run low 9's..
Gas Man 02-12-2005, 05:04 PM That's good... that about what I'm doing at the crank... you can see my run at the begining of the thread... 136 hp at the rear.... not bad for a old carbed 9R :D
twisty 02-12-2005, 06:14 PM Wait till I throw the 100 on the Dyno that should be fun.
Gas Man 02-12-2005, 07:23 PM Wait till I throw the 100 on the Dyno that should be fun.
Yeah it will that 100cc bike ought to throw down some major numbers...what you thinkin 25hp?? :redevil:
SpeedWerks.com 02-12-2005, 07:57 PM thats pretty sweet chris!! they had a dyno run at the bike fest a few months back, but the line was out the wazoo to try it..I might have to give this a shot next season after some of mods are complete.
**waiting for twisty's 4 digit dyno numbers!! :D
See, if you come down to visit us, you can get your bike up on our dyno. :)
SpeedWerks.com 02-12-2005, 08:00 PM what all did you do to it to increase the HP ?
If you put an Arata full exhaust on there, you should see what that would do to any bike! Too bad they cost about $1200. :puke: Truly the best sounding exhaust and the best exhaust there is...just too much money. Thank god my street bike is a two-stroke, otherwise I'd be explaining where that $1200 went to my husband.
twisty 02-12-2005, 09:38 PM heck yeah MY GSXR 100 is the ***** bro. Two stoke and everything. Here is a pic
bulldog 02-12-2005, 09:55 PM nice thats to big for you though you need to keep on the one close to your right leg until you get the miles on that then step it up
Gas Man 02-13-2005, 10:31 AM heck yeah MY GSXR 100 is the ***** bro. Two stoke and everything. Here is a pic
