Check out the tail on the first 9R. Has all types of scoupes.

Very cool. I wish I had the cash for a new exhaust. Even a slip on would be an improvement.

No heat shield yet. I plan on using an aluminum sheet and bending it around the muffler then placing another sheet over it using 1/3" spacers to separate the two plates and mount the lower plate to the plastic around it. I'll use the space available, after installation of the second sheet, to put the tool kit and other stuff on. If I find some heat resistant filler material I'll place that between the two plates. And of course I plan on painting the plates flat black like the plastic. I'm also having the mid-pipe ceramic coated a dull titanium so once that's done I'll post pictures of the entire bike with everything on it or what I call the semi permanent look before the heat shield.

I'm looking at the mid pipe... Yours is very out there and very visable... in the first post, how did he get that one so clean and under/behind the swingarm?

I believe with the IXIL pipes, they run under the bike... good for clearance at the track.... but not so sure aobut real life.. ie curbs and speed bumbs... but dont know since ive never seen it first hand or ridden it like that.

The pipe is a CBR1000RR Jardine RT-1 pipe for the 2004 undertail. The guy that created the midpipe did an awesome job. I just made sure the RT-1 muffler was very tight without melting the brake light cover. And after a 3 hour ride today the brake cover wasn't even hot. Here is another pic in the day light. ENJOY http://cs.kawiforums.com/cs/cs.display.asp?auth=31333237303B35353039303B3434303B755962745A48595F58545C61457A&size=max

Well what I'm saying is howcome you didn't run it under the swing arm pivit point? The newer bikes with undertail exhuasts have a notch out spot on the swingarm to accomedate the piping so it doesn't stick out... I'm not knocking your setup... just curious. I think it rocks and is really nice!

I didn't do it because of the bends requred to get the pipe from the header to the tail and ease of removal. Plus the room between the shock and swing arm was to tight for my taste. The other alternative was outside the swingarm so I took that route and it seems to work out well.

No center stand. It's just hid by the tire.

Project Complete. Just finished the underseat trunk area. The only pic I didn't post is the one of the black cover that is velcrowed on to the end of the black plate that closes off the area you can see light through in the second picture (the bracket takes a 90 degree turn up to the trunk latch). Also in pic 2 you can see the brackets I used the mount the pipe better than the other pics I posted. http://cs.kawiforums.com/cs/cs.display.asp?auth=31333237303B35373631303B3434303B755962745A485B5A5B525C61457A&size=max http://cs.kawiforums.com/cs/cs.display.asp?auth=31333237303B35373631313B3434303B755962745A485B5A5B525C61457A&size=max http://cs.kawiforums.com/cs/cs.display.asp?auth=31333237303B35373631323B3434303B755962745A485B5A5B525C61457A&size=max
