MA will have a all sportbike rally...

:welcome: As the Prez of "THE KRU", I am going to try to put together a rally for just sportbikes. Any make and model. I am going to find a central loaction where I need to put a event this big together and speak with all the people that I need to. I will contact vendors and see if they will come or sponor this rally. It's going to take a lot but I will post any news I receive from loction to vendor information. I have no doubt that the town that I choose will welcome it. I hope this can come all together by this summer and if not it will be next year. Please give me some feedback on my decision. I am getting a commitee toghether very soon to help me in this process. I basically want to have a Laconia style rally but just sportbikes. :dthumb:

As you all know promises are like the wind, they come and go.:2cents: Lots and lots of fliers, chit chat and local advertising for the concerned and surrounding areas required and at least a summers worth of notice so people can plan. If you can do it regularly ever year. The turn out will increase ever year as people from a far learn that its going on.

No doubt JEEP-mister. This will be a annual rally just like Laconia. It will be sponsored by a major aftermarket company like Lockhart but it would be called after the club hopefully. I think that flyers will not be enough. I am shooting for magazines and highway poster boards.:readng: This is still in the begiinning stages but I have already started to speak to some local companies that are willing to help out and a company called PUING that I think you know of. They suport the Idea but need documentation on how its all going to happen.:crazy:

:iagree: I just received a P.M. from one of the family that suggested to incoporate all the states of New England also into this rally. I think that for know I will try to keep it in cental MA then if I get any feedback from this I will move it to central New England but like I said, we are in the beginning stages. I know that once we getting rolling you will be right by side just like you have all these years bro. I already have a major company that thinks its a good idea PUING. We just need to show how everything is going to come toghether.:dthumb:

:readng: I have not recieved much attention to this program I am trying to put together. I do though, have some aftermarket manufactures agreeing to be there IF I get enough documated info on how many people will show.:sorry: But to be truthful, I don't see it happening this year beacuse there is not enough people exploring this venture. I will continue to cordinate issues with the board to try to get something together full out by next spring. Maybe I will do a large show just for sportbikes and see what the turn out for that will be. Only time will tell.:tt:

I live in Vermont and would support both a show and a sportbike rally. I recently went to ride in RI and not that it wasnt fun but 3/4 cruisers got to me after a while. I ride a Bimota SB8R and it doesnt like to go that slow. I would help if possible with the org. Best of luck

:sorry: G-MAN you wouldn't even make it to the gate. On a different note, the show is still on but not yet set a date. There is much planning that I still have to do to make it go smoothly. We are still working on a rally for next year. Most likely looking at the last week of July. Yeah well... it happens. I like TWF and know it better than most. I still have alot of ties with sportbikes. Besides, I'm the big :whore: around here. No reason to give all that work up...

Nah... I still know alot of sportbike riders... and will even ride with them. I have always supported all sides of riding. If you're on 2 then I support ya.

:cheers: Thats cool to know that you are still amongst us. I still have some disbeilfs on the Hogg side of it. Since the ninety's all Harleys are made in Japan and I hate the stereotype stating that we ride rice burners.:scratch: It's hard for me to understand this. Although the bike is put together here in the states, its made overseas. :dthumb:

But I don't ride a Harley! Probably 95% of my bike is made right here in the states and all essembled in KS. For example.. Primary, Clutch, tranny, starter,and final drive all made in Michigan Wheels, brake rotors, calipers and mounts... made in Cali S&S motor...made in Wisconsin I think... Just a few off the top of my head...

I understand... and you're right about the HD bikes and what parts they have... its just not the case in the customs...

Thats so true. I build 'em but there are some which do have parts made in Korea. For example Arlen Ness. Some of there stuff is built there......:scratch:
